False God Posted February 26 Posted February 26 2 hours ago, Dephira said: No offense but are you kind of stupid? Dark Side of The Moon charted in its 742nd week on the Billboard 200 in 2009. The same Billboard 200 chart also shows: Call Me Irresponsible in its 83rd week (that's more than 18 months), It's Time in its 105th week (that's more than 18 months), Daughtry in its 148th week (I'm almost certain that's more than 18 months), and Off The Wall in its 170th week (is that more than 18 months? I'm not sure). Ironically for you, Taylor Swift's debut album spent its 162nd week on the chart at #39 in that exact week, in 2009 (which was before 2010, I believe). Billboard also had a special interview with Roger Waters on 05/05/2006 to celebrate the fact that their album spent over 1,500 weeks combined on two of their charts, namely the Billboard 200 and Top Catalogue Pop Albums. I don't know much about algebra but as far as I know, 742 weeks and 1,500 weeks are both more than 18 months. In fact, another famous soundtrack album by an artist you mentioned in your post (Whitney Houston) has officially spent 141 weeks on the Billboard 200. I'm pretty sure that 141 weeks is a longer time than 18 months. It's kind of crazy that you're in every single thread related to Taylor (as well as many threads that have nothing whatsoever to do with Taylor) spouting absolute nonsense that can easily be disproved within 4 seconds by anyone who has access to Google. Are all your posts some kind of elaborate performance art piece, because I'm struggling to come up with any other explanation why you are continuously exposing yourself to well-deserved lashings like this. The soundtrack stayed at number one for 20 non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, and spent eight consecutive weeks atop the Top R&B Albums chart, remaining on the charts for a total of 141 weeks and 122 weeks, respectively https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/roger-waters-revisits-the-dark-side-58519/ https://books.google.de/books?id=hUd1o0aCe10C&pg=PT32&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false By the way, Whitney Houston's fourth studio album is called "My Love Is Your Love" and it spent 87 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart before falling off naturally, and 87 weeks is more than 18 months. Eminem's album with most longevity is Curtain Call btw, none of the albums that you mentioned, and that album has spent over 650 weeks on the Billboard 200 All the Lies that OTH spit just to invalidate this milestone 3

It's not as historic as her fans make it out to be though considering Billboard didn't allow for albums at 18+ months to chart on the general chart up until 2010, which meant that Whitney's gigantic peak with her fourth album couldn't make her past releases chart on the Billboard 200 and neither could Eminem who has been quite a stellar album seller for an entire decade, especially during his The Real Slim Shady-The Eminem Show-8 Mile-Encore run where he was selling albums like hot cakes (over 1 million copies in two-three days as I recall) but Taylor wouldn't have had that much competition to achieve this and as a Taylor stan on here told me, regardless of this rule she'd only miss out on 48 weeks. Would she have beat them with the old rule? Hmm, I don't think the Eras Tour impact would last another year when the tour is done but I could be wrong. But it's still a major achievement that should be treated as such even in the streaming era. I don't think we have any other artist who has peaked so long into their career and it's really rare (with Whitney being the case in 1992 and Michael Jackson peaking years after starting his solo career as well) and I don't think we will in quite some time. This is an achievement for Top 10 weeks, not just general Billboard 200. Only a few albums have managed to stay in Top 10 after 18 months of release 3
