Josh Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Both albums were a disappointment compared to their previous masterpieces (One Of The Boys & Teenage Dream, Folklore & Evermore) 1
Jay07 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Midnights doesn't have a Legendary Lovers or International Smile so Prism wins. 2

Ron Ng Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Midnights is a better album but the visuals are tragic, Taylor should be banned from directing videos honestly.

blown away Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Prism has the much higher highs and has less mid songs than Midnights. On top of that, it also contains career highlights Unconditionally and Walking On Air. Midnights didn't miss with the singles though, every chosen single was good. In comparison you have Birthday which is a very mid single choice instead of Walking On Air or even Legendary Lovers. 1
EtherealCat Posted February 23 Posted February 23 prism is more consistent but midnights highs are just too high, prism for the rest
ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted February 23 ATRL Moderator Posted February 23 PRISM for all underrated imo Katy’s best album 3

JoeAg Posted February 23 Posted February 23 better album: Midnights better singles: Prism better visuals: Prism

Pop Fan Posted February 23 Posted February 23 (edited) Midnights for everything. Midnights is a great pop album, one of the best this decade. People just hate on it because it came after folkore/evermore and because it's not a groundbreaking album for Taylor's standards. But yeah, it's an amazing album that gets too much hate. Well, the hate is usually coming from ATRL and Stan Twitter. The general public and audiences love the album. It's also critticly acclaimed (her 2nd most acclaimed album on Metacritic) and it won lots of industry awards including AOTY at the Grammys. So yeah, Midnights is a fantastic pop record and a huge success in every single metric. ATRL has to wake up and stop with the "MID" narrative. It's just pathetic and delusional at this point.
