Because he doesn’t see this is as a bad thing. 

 

Tyler Perry is a money man. That’s all he cares about. He is not an artist, he is not a creative, he wants money and that’s all. 

 

He’s anti-union and he is that way because it allows him to churn out a bunch of low effort bullshit at a rapid pace. Perry is known to shoot 50-100 pages of dialogue PER DAY. He shot two complete seasons of of his BET shoes in under two months. He works his team like dogs while he gloats about writing 20 scripts in a couple weeks. 

 

Anything he can find to make himself more money faster he will latch onto it.

It's a shame but people in the entertainment business has always looked for ways to cheapen out on the creative costs, so when AI becomes accessible and high quality, it's over for writers/SFX or CGI artists/whatever else that can be replaced. No amounts of strike or protests can change that.
