Got some fire for you guys: Also Haeley Vaughn too. I remember rooting for her in 2010 when she was on American Idol. To make it to the top 20 as a black girl doing country in 2010? Wow. This is what so many greats before her did and it's so wonderful to see her doing the same for others. It honestly solidifies her status as an icon, it's not all about spotify streams or albums sold. That's why she is the celebrity of celebrities right now the way Madonna, Tina, Cher, Dianna, Michael and other legends are. Edited February 23 by Opulence 3
imabadkid Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Beyonce honestly does not get the credit she deserves for being a trailblazer People are always so quick to point out anything negative when it pertains to her but never talk about the positives 4 1

Taylor, at a level of fame/success only a handful of artists have experienced, called her “the queen” ffs
Gossip_Boy Posted February 23 Posted February 23 And that is impact. Renaissance did the same and helped people be aware of black dance and house music legends as well as the black/queer influences on dance/house music. It is also one of the primary reasons why Bey creates the music that she does at this stage in her career. There is a bigger meaning and purpose. I just really adore this phase and direction of her career. 3
Polgg48 Posted February 23 Posted February 23 interview on them now will have beyonce questions when they want to promo their own music. like saying more LGBTQ+ play fortnite because of gaga and they share experience on her music while probably log in once for event. 1

Which is fine since they for sure get more requests for Interviews now than before. Visibility is so much more worth than 2-3 Beyonce questions here and there

So you're saying they'll now be given more platforms to promote their music and be able to use Beyoncé's stardom to draw more attention to those interviews and in turn music? Is this supposed to be a bad thing?

blackoutbritney Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I love the theory that the entire Renaissance project is beys way to reclaim the genres that black people created. Seeing this makes me SO happy and proud of her and all she does for her community. Truly an icon and pioneer who knows how to truly elevate those who came before her. 1
PrudenceHCharmed Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Her impact. Bringing R&B back during the heights of EDM in 2011 with 4 , then introduce the concept of body of work and visual album during ST to openly sings about police brutality and racism during Lemonade to reclaiming black genres with REN and Act II 3
