People have been in the shadows about what is going on and this is the family crying for help. The bank has her taken from them. I hope this is true, it is helping to spread awareness about the conservatorship at least. I'm honestly still confused about who is on whose side and what their motives are, especially with the family

Probably isn’t the dementia more so her addiction. People with addiction can get VERY mean and lose sight of everything even memory cause they are FEENING. Her nephew said she would be drunk everyday til 5am. Plus her health looks deteriorated. I wonder what she looks like now that she is in this lawyers care. We need photos and video!

PopMusicJunkie Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Hopefully she is getting the help she needs, a lot of uncomfortable & sad moments in this doc.

Because this is the real Wendy that she never allowed the public to see, that’s why. No offense to her but it’s sort of deserved. Not her condition, but the truth about who she is finally being exposed. She flat out wasn’t a good person even if I personally found her hilarious and wish only the best for her. She made a living off insulting and mocking people, like, there’s no way to diminish how shitty of a person you need to be to do that for decades. 3 11

I can't speak for her family's motives, but I'm not sure there is really a lot they can do to stop this being aired. She already had a deal with Lifetime prior to these health issues becoming apparent, so this documentary is fulfilling her contract with them. I doubt the network cares about if it should be broadcast when their priority is ratings.

I think the same but is another thing, my argument was only the fact about showing a person with mentall illness. But your point is that nobody loves her (even her familty) and this is like a revenge?
KingWitch Posted February 25 Posted February 25 She treats the people who work for her like garbage 1

Obviously the network doesn't care, but the "deal" should stop being active if the person has become ill, shes is in a conservative but can appear in a show? (the same about Britney case), this (legal) things don't make any sense. And the family could not let her meet with the crew or be filmed. And the society/internet is not "calceling" this channel or saying nothing.

No, my point is that the mental illness is the reason why people are finally able to see who she really is (if they didn’t already know), not that people do or do not love her. I don’t even think this is revenge, it’s just the truth. They showed how she really is with people despite having decades of her life to change and not be this way. Now it’s too late. Like I said, I feel bad that she’s ill and no one deserves *that*, but this documentary was her doing. 1

Since this is not the reality of how she was before, you can't know if it was like this before or not, maybe it was or maybe it wasn't (or even if she was worse).
Horizon Flame Posted February 26 Posted February 26 She’s acting like someone who has dementia and this includes how mean she is to people. It obviously the illness. I’m not saying she was a saint before but she’s displaying classic dementia behavior. 8 1
SharGaga Posted February 26 Posted February 26 All the yes men surrounding her was genuinely disturbing to see in the documentary 2 1

If only, unfortuntely reality tv is known to exploit individuals with mental illness, especially those not clearly diagnosed, but exhibiting some signs, because there its slightly easier to circumvent ethical concerns.
Witnessed ET Posted February 28 Posted February 28 People including me might call it karma for exploiting and speculating on celebrities’ personal lives and vulnerabilities to be mocked at on national television, but she did make talk shows kinda entertaining for all the trolling was worth. I hope she’s getting the best care she can and I hope she has people around her that truly care about her. 1 1
Stankonia Posted February 29 Posted February 29 The documentary was a heartbreaking watch and I'm so saddened by this diagnosis. Let me just say that anyone calling it karma and saying that she deserves this because she gossiped about/shaded your fave on her show (while doing the same thing or worse all day on atrl ) is actually so much more evil than y'all claim Wendy is. Also using her behavior in the documentary which is very clearly caused by dementia to claim that it reflects Wendy's true personnality - which is such a lie as any Wendy watcher knows because she's never treated people like this behind the scenes - is just vile and so insensitive not just for her but all people suffering dementia. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. 3
prettyinpink940 Posted February 29 Posted February 29 I watched the documentary and don't know what to make of it. I found it exploitative more than anything. Looks like Wells Fargo froze her bank accounts for a reason. Her family members and her "team" were clearly taking advantage of her and the bank did the right thing.
Mordecai Posted February 29 Posted February 29 People in here acting like they're all holier than thou with the 'karma' bs. Sure she's said and done some horrible things but she made a living off of doing what you all do on a daily basis, and I guarantee most if not all of you have said things just as bad or even worse 3
