I feel like caring about this kinda shows those who are just into virtue-signaling and fail to understand the big picture

The bigger picture involves sanctioning that genocidal state. This is a good start. No more representation for zionists :clap3:

If they are disqualified, they can get away with the victim narrative more easily.

The title of her proposed song is October Rain :gaycat6:

The song is obviously going to be political and should be banned for that alone, regardless of thoughts on Israel.

A win-win for both parties if true.

The EBU won't have to deal with Israel for another year and Israel gets even more propaganda material for domestic use.

that's one spot higher for Germany in the finale then

Not believing this until its officially announced, but this would actually be big if it happens. I know the Zionists are in shambles.

Countries in the European Broadcasting Area are all eligible for participation - that would include all North African countries, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan

Is Australia part of the European Broadcasting Area?

I mean just the title deserves the disqualification… If they get disqualified I’ll be ecstatic.

It's taken long enough.

Just read a report that ministers in the government in Israel are already fuming so it must have some merit :lmao: Or they're already planning this as propaganda and to make themselves look like the victim.

In a new article KAN states that they're in talks with EBU regarding their submitted entry and they have no intention to change it in case it won't be approved

I guess the EBU won't disqualify them until the deadline to present the songs which is 11 March.

What does the lyrics say ?

The Australian broadcaster is an associate member which does give rights to participate in the contest. They have been broadcasting the event +40 years so they were given special rights to participate. Australia's participation is also reviewed every few years.

Money probably. One of Eurovision's main sponsors is an Israeli company and there have been strong and somewhat confirmed rumours that certain countries would retaliate if Israel were to be banned from the contest. I think the EBU would want to disqualify Israel on a rule technicality rather than moral or ethical grounds to minimise any potential monetary backlash, so they have to wait until the Israeli song has been confirmed/released.
