Exodus Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Starring White Lotus' Leo Woodall, very digestible, quick episodes. Fantastic job with the storytelling and beautiful scenery/locations. Amazing job taking a dour lead and flipping the script on a common rom-com trope (IE awkward girl wins popular guy). Worth the watch if you're interested in a drama that's easy on the eyes. HardBambi Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I watched the first two episodes since it’s number 1 in the UK I must admit I was expecting more, a twist, something, but it’s been chilled so far, good as you say but nothing out of the ordinary. Loving the actors and the way it’s filmed.
deej Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Really enjoyed this, much more than the movie. The story benefits from having more time to explore the main characters and their relationships. Make sure to watch all the way to the end. Especially those last few episodes.
blackoutbritney Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I liked this a lot but a lot of the scenes had almost the exact same dialogue and framing as the movie which I felt like would’ve been a good opportunity to try something new. With that said, I did really enjoy this and thought both actors did great and had really authentic chemistry. It’s a great story in both film and television.
sh0ckw4ves Posted February 21 Posted February 21 I’m about halfway through and while it’s nice, it feels a little corny at times and the pacing (within the same conversation) can be kinda weird. It’s sort of like a less good Normal People in my eyes.
TryMe Posted February 21 Posted February 21 A solid 7 out of 10. They have great chemistry. - Some scenes of them together felt too short and some individual scenes felt too long. - They could have done more to emphasize the timeline in terms of decor and looks.
Mandalore Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Finished episode 12 Spoiler They finally get together. Two episodes left?...F*ck!
HardBambi Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Got so into it! Ep 6 or 7 now. I actually live in Vauxhall where he made out with a man
HardBambi Posted February 21 Posted February 21 OMG those times, the 90s Basic Instinct premiere where Princess Di might show up Also, trying to understand, is he broken or is he a bit of a psycho? A beautiful lovely gentle psycho that is but still
Ramona16 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Just finished reading the book last week bc I started this and I knew I needed to read it. If anyone else is enjoying this, you NEED to read the book. This is a really good adaptation, it really benefits from a series format. The pacing of the movie really threw me off, and I felt like the characters weren’t really similar to the ones from the book.

I caught myself thinking of when my family had those phones or computers. 2 hours ago, Ramona16 said: Just finished reading the book last week bc I started this and I knew I needed to read it. I've actually never read a book after watching a show/movie (only the other way around). I love having the imagination of the characters. Are they still as engaging? 1
Eóghan Posted February 21 Posted February 21 i'm shocked so many people have never seen the movie with Anne Hathaway, that was peak of her career so the fact i see people being mad at the things happening in the show in my timeline is so funny
Lovett Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Just watched the first episode and I really like them as a pair. It's been a long time since I've seen the book/film, but I'm really enjoying the chemistry of the leads here.
clee95 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The leader actor is so dreamy, when he cries, oh my heart felt it.

Absolutely but so it’s her but not necessarily through physical beauty I’m at the wedding episode and honestly it’s so emotionally charged Recommended it to all my friends The nokia phone!
HardBambi Posted February 22 Posted February 22 When the year 1998 the little Medonster in me automatically thought the release of Ray of light So I binged like a fool until I finished it I’m in love with all characters especially with Dex & Em and the story too even though it was heartbreaking yet magic. “we grew up together” #notafootnote A full 5 star from me
Weld_E Posted February 22 Posted February 22 The book was my favorite for the longest time. I was disappointed by the movie because it didn’t do the book justice. The series is so much better. Spoiler I read the book and saw the movie, but I couldn’t stop crying throughout the last episode. The last time I cried this hard was watching From Scratch. 1
Yawn Posted February 24 Posted February 24 just finished and loved it. the two leads are amazing and make the show. their acting throughout really made me feel absolutely everything.
bync Posted February 26 Posted February 26 just finished it. wow, it's been so long since i've felt this drained from a series (in the best way)
Lovett Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Episode 7 was tough to get through! Dexter was horrible. I felt so badly for Emma! She deserves better.
superben Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Is this from the same source as the One Day movie starring Anne Hathaway?
TeamThiem Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Leo Woodall was really good in this. Those crying scenes were top notch. I wanted to ball on the floor with him. 1
Lovett Posted March 5 Posted March 5 Just finished this. Both of them were outstanding. What a beautiful adaptation.
