Yeah, it's really bad.

But are we really surprised? J.Lo is more of a celebrity and an entrepreneur than a musician.

She's gonna be OK, I'm sure she's gonna made money out of this. An amazing bussines woman.

No wonder we're getting awful remixes (Yes, and?) and horrible music videos (Training Season) because when we got good projects we let them flop.

Deserved for sampling Justin Timberlake :foxaylove2:

Well AKA debuted with 33k in 2014 and by 2020 it had sold 81k so what were people expecting this time?

If the first week she moves 15-20k I guess that by the end of the year it can sell around… 35k? And maybe 50k by 2030, sad but it’s the reality, at least she will have 3 new songs to add to her future tours: CGE, Rebound and another.

The new album/ film/ documentary is essentially an excuse / promotion for touring

She will make $$$$ via touring , we honestly don't need to feel sad for JLo who is a fantastic businesswoman

But AKA had botty right? Is it sps wise really that bad?

And sorry to say this but both AKA and TIMN are great.

I don’t expect anything more than 5-10k tbh.

Streaming is brutal for old artists, really brutal.

I did expect better but anyway... I will be streaming.

The album is just....kinda there.

I went in with zero expectations and left feeling like it's just sort of fine. I wouldn't call it bad, she's definitely made much worse music over the years. It's cohesive (to a fault). But it's very dry and cold sounding. The production is very hollow sounding and lacks any real sort of uniqueness. Her voice is fine but there's no melodies. The songwriting, despite what she claimed, is very surface level and isn't at all this deep or personal or introspective work. It's all very general statements about very vague emotions.

Hardly an offensive listen, but not really worth listening to more than once. I struggle to see how this is going to have any sort of longevity. And with streams this poor, if her pure sales aren't solid, then this is going to debut low and plummet afterward. Sad to watch, but unfortunately not really a surprise given how the singles did.

Yeah AKA had Booty at least, but I’m not sure if that 81k number includes SPS, the same billboard article states that Love? had sold 353k by 2020 when in the first 5 weeks it sold 150k and OTF is 4xP and I’m into you Gold, I’m sure that Love? Should be at least Gold.

Aguilera rollout was messy because they first released the album digital only which went to sell 4k then a few months later they released the cd and then a few months later the vinyl.

At least she has 16M views in YouTube this era + 6M in Spotify so far + whatever she does in AM, Amazon and Pandora + digital sales + multiple editions.

Looking at Kylie in her last two albums she had first week results:

#26 - DISCO 19k (15k Pure / 4k SPS with no big hit or streaming impact).

#21 - Tension 24.5k (19.5k Pure / 5k SPS thanks to Padam which didn’t even chart the Top 100).

So I’m sure TIMN can land somewhere in between, I’m starting to think that she can scratch 17k - 20k but I’m not sure if it’s enough to warrant a Top 20, maybe Top 25.

I love the album even more now. Especially Humminbird and Hearts&Flowers.
not going to flop is also nice

This is hardly a surprise. Her music has been flopping since like 2012. She's still a huge celebrity and able to sell out a tour based on her name alone.

Yeah the number is abysmal, but the album isn't bad as a casual listener. No shade AT ALL, but some Ashanti vocals would've elevated this so much.

Both could've benefited from the collar/check.

Omg now that i think about it, she should add aint your mama to this :ryan3:
