It's not, a full stadium tour is asking Shakira to sacrifice her two kids literally.

This is the same woman that was complaining about a stage prop for one of her most iconic concert openings ever. (The million dollar cobra) for the tour of the mongoose

it will probably be sale el sol staging, she will call it iconic with some stadium dates and that's that lol

she's not gonna book a full stadium tour when she hasn't had a massive English era since the fixations come on now.

Session 53 and the Karol G collab smashed just last year in the English market tho :jonnycat:

But I don't think two hits after a repeak are enough for a full stadium tour.

had the album been a cultural reset moment going #1 in her main markets, playlist everywhere and heavy payola then yes she could of had an eras/renaissance moment.

BUT she's surrounded by YES people so!

They smashed with latino audiences in those markets, but they were not hits with English speakers. Meanwhile, a song like Chantaje that peaked a lot lower was a legitimate hit that reached those audiences. This time she doesn't have that and she completely abandoned her English-speaking fanbase (which is what made her global btw)

We're not getting big production. She has hinted at that with the cobra story which she has talked about twice recently.

I still think Shakira should fire most of her team. They are all letting her down. Even this announcement just links to a site for "more info soon". :deadbanana2: Clearly nobody on her team was thinking about booking concert venues in advance, since the earliest date is in November.

They f**cking suck. Bunch of yes people.

All this "massive extensive ambitious tour talk" since Super Bowl and first confirmed venue is an 11k seat arena in west bubble **** on the west coast, which is fine.

even stadiums when she does Latin America she loves small fútbol stadiums 30k-50k capacity except for Mexico and Colombia, but still they suck!

el dorado didnt sell out and she has done nothing for her position in music since then and yet some of you are talking about a big budget stadium tour

She's done the Super Bowl, gotten two massive hits and the touring market has exploded since Covid. I know she dampened her hype with this "album", but let's not act like her name doesn't carry weight still.

By the time the tour kicks off and comes to Europe the SB will be 5 years ago and two years since the Pique themed songs, out of which only TQG managed to have longevity. Session went viral and exploded but fizzled out a month later, at least where i live and much to my surprise, her album didn't even chart here and she's huge in Southern Europe. She will definitely sell out her US and Latam tour but not sure about how she'll do in Europe. I predict a similar situation to EDWT which wasn't bad at all, it just didn't sell out everywhere 100%.

I feel El Dorado and Chantaje performed way better than all the singles in this album and the rollout was done more smoothly. She dragged this out way longer than she should.

Yeah, Europe (outside of Iberia) is gonna be the toughest market. I feel like she needs a DJ collab (a good song, not garbage like DYW or DWU) or some other Euro-catnip to rebuild her name here. There's still love for her.

It did well here but it didn't reach the heights of her past singles and it's definitely not enough to sell out a whole leg.

The answer will always be world music and she needs to finally realize it.

Somebody buy her some Andean flutes, Merengue horns and an Arabic chants compilation and let's start cooking up the HDL of the era. :giraffe:

She needs another (English) hit before the tour. Session 53 is getting tiresome to be honest.

Or maybe a Greatest Hits album with great promotion and obviously at least half of it in English to remind the European and American public of her catalog.

I can think of Objection, WW, UYC, HDL, She Wolf, DIA, Loca, Beautiful liar, Waka Waka, CRTFY and even Try Everything. That's at least 11 songs to motivate the anglo market.

Plus her Spanish hits obviously, some of which have made it to the hot 100 or are somehow known in the US like La Tortura, Chantaje, La Bicicleta, S53, TQG and Ojos asi.

I know, just dreaming!

This. Shaki mixin local rhythms-exotic ones and giving her own twist and in ENGLISH.   More organic than overproduced like LaLaLa

Whenever Wherever : Latin Flavored English Pop Song
Hips Dont Lie : Latin Urban Flavorited English Pop Song
She Wolf : Disco-Electropop English Song
Waka Waka : African Flavored English Song :giraffe:

Honestly we need something like SHE WOLF II NEXT but with better producers-more urban and longer tracklist :giraffe:
That would play to her strenghts. The public is clearly not here for Pure Synthpop-Rock

There's actually a lot unexplored genres still for her in Latinoamerica. We have such a big broad number of genres
She could make a great mapale song or something more andean or explore centroamerican-brazilian music

or maybe something egyptian and playing to her arabic roots.
Something like Why Wait but better.    Why wait even if its real good feels a bit cheap (BLAME Pharell williams for that)

We need A Proper Ojos Asi in English with a high budget video. People would love that :giraffe: and invite people from middle eastern heritage too.
So we dont get backlash

All the Shakifans been spamming Keytin on twitter (One of her main producers) in the last months
Ellos le han estado diciendo que quieren mas musica arabe o world music de Shak
So, there's hope :giraffe:  i like how Te Felicito was very experimental and not a typical reggaeton song

What hype does she have now? she's not trending anywhere after the announcement (of the tour announcement) she posted today.
