And her tour tickets haven't even gone on sale yet!!! Amazon Purchase (50M) - JLo's pocket (20M) = 30 M She always win? 4

And yeah, of course, we knew she had to self-fund the project, she doesn't have a label to back it up and she pitched the project to many streamers before landing a deal with Amazon. Seems like a well thought and executed project so I hope it makes some sort of noise outside stan twitter 3

Tudors Posted February 13 Posted February 13 The fact that she paid for it does not make me want to watch it even more. I still don't. Make movies girl 4

She doesn't want labels earning from her endorsements, tours, PAs, etc. which is what they would do if she signed a new deal with any of them now. If she was open to that, then all of the majors would sign her immediately. 1

The movie isn't out on streaming yet and it will definitely get over 1,300 streams. Are you really delusional enough to pretend it won't be streamed on Prime? Even Shotgun Wedding did well on the platform and it was awful. Also, if you're referring to the number of streams that the YouTube audio for the "Can't Get Enough" remix with Latto received in an hour, the song has over 3.6 million streams already on YouTube: And the original has over 9.3 million: 3

ATRL Moderator feelslikeadream Posted February 13 ATRL Moderator Posted February 13 Quote A potential partner had pulled out, she’d said, because they didn’t understand the thing. ..... Didn't understand? What's not to understand about this project? She's not doing something avant-garde here It's far more likely that an investor would pull out because they don't have faith in the project after seeing the plans/early content.

Jennifer could've signed a distribution deal without having to compromise on her other business ventures easily. She doesn't have a deal simply because she doesn't want to have to record albums to breakeven costs, hence why she said she believes this might be her last album. Music is simply not something she can make a profit of as of right now (i.e. her streaming numbers) 7 minutes ago, Dabbyy said: Fix sth else cuz you aint right here ... She doesnt need any label to film a movie ... she has her own successful production company too. Nobody needs a label or a studio to film a film but let's not pretend she didn't fund the project because her associate producers bailed on her last minute. It's brave that she decided to it regardless because some other people would've simply cancelled the whole thing. This is still an investment for her, if she wanted to release this for the love of art she would've released it on YouTube and called it a day. Amazon probably acquired the project because they saw potential in it and maybe because JLo gave them a hit movie a few years ago. 1
