Still, the song is kinda going viral and new songs tend to pick up on Friday. She moved up on playlists too. It’s not like she went from 4 million to 8 million streams lol. 
 

Plus her positions on Apple and iTunes tend to point to people either liking or checking the song out

This is not autoplay. The song is just getting better placements on the playlists after being stable the whole week

 

In the US it jumped from 2 million to 2.3 million. It's not a crazy jump, it's just that the song is becoming a global hit (it got a great increase in the UK yesterday even before the friday update)

Oh yeah for sure I’ve seen a few dance videos on TikTok already and people receiving the song well. Just that a 1M update overnight seems a little absurd. It’s happened to quite a few songs recently and I don’t quite understand Spotify’s autoplay algorithm. Regardless it was stable at 4.5-4.6M before so I’m not saying at all that it’s not an actual hit.

A big proponent might also be that the Tik Tok sound was added yesterday and it essentially went from 15K to like 35K in one day w/ a bunch of viral videos + better playlisting + the radio updates are really good and across a lot of multiple formats (which a song hasn’t done in like years?)

 

I’m sure there some autoplay but I doubt it’s much considering how much it’s increasing across all metrics so quickly.
