swtamira Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I didn't like THE at first listen, now i literally can't stop listening to it. I like it more than BMS for sure. 16 carriages is so amazing too. Anything she touches just becomes gold, cause country is not my cup of tea at all
BnPac Posted February 22 Posted February 22 There are really fantastic country songs, I was surprised by how averse people were to her doing country in the base. You guys should get a bit into it. Even just for women : Dolly, Miranda Lambert, Tay Tay for popular women served great country songs. 1

CallumDavies Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Beyonce is very experimental. I would be hugely surprised if she served sixteen straight down the line country songs in one album. Even when she has a sonic theme, as she did with Renaissance, she explores the full breadth of that sound and also puts her own spin on it. I suspect act ii will take a similar approach. 1 1

That doesnt tell me anything about the rest of act ii, but to write act ii off just because of the genre seems premature to me, especially when the little glimpses we got with Texas and 16C indicate a stronger album. And one thing ive always said: Bey is a master of musicology. We argue about her writing contributions a lot in here, but her artistic VISION for her projects is easily the most impressive in popular music. She understands genres and music so so well, I really feel like she would have to make an effort to create a bad album THIS! plus if it's true she's worked on this since 2019, that means our Virgo Queen Perfectionist Icon undoubtedly has had the time to review it and add/edit it as needed, and with her exacting ear and desire to constantly out-do herself, it's surely going to be a great work!!! I am expecting at least one song to have a blend with hip-hop. Also very excited to think of all the possible new instruments we may hear her with. I'd especially love to see what she can do with a steel pedal guitar on a track (or more!). 1

Beyle Street Posted February 22 Posted February 22 At this rate, Texas will be at 100M streams in about 2 weeks.

You did not compare Beyonce to Miley. Especially in terms of album success. And I love Miley. 1 2
Comedor Posted February 22 Posted February 22 (edited) So what’s the word on CA sistrens? I recall THE was aiming for #1 is that still the case? Edited February 22 by Comedor

Seems none of you read my comment “not a great comparison” my point was don’t assume, that’s all. We don’t even know what her plan is for her album release. No pre order up yet is annoying.
