Gossip_Boy Posted February 18 Posted February 18 I haven’t been on tiktok for a few days and I was under the impression her music was taken off the app so I was surprised when a video of 2 guys dancing to Texas Hold Em popped up on my fyp right after I opened it. She’s coming for that viral bag
shark_heather Posted February 18 Posted February 18 OMFG i cannot believe what is happening 😳 Well actually i can believe it ... now ... seeing all those tiktoks But if you would have told me on Monday when i woke up and found out that Beyonce released a country song that we would see these numbers without any big push i would have laughed 2
shark_heather Posted February 18 Posted February 18 The thing is that this is starting now and the radio airplay will take it i dont know where and for how long Are we looking at this years Flowers ?

But getting #1's with her 7th and 8th albums in the 20s instead Also this truly is incredible and such a part of her legacy. She worked damn hard all of her 30s to grow her cultural status and create moments at the expense of chart hits everyone was chasing. 4 being a timeless body of work in the sea of EDM, self titled rewriting the entire rule book and still managing a #2 hit, then Lemonade. I disagree with her stupid decisions with Lemonade and streaming but she was clearly making statements instead and all eyes were on her in 2016. Now she has some great hits and career highlights from that time even though they weren’t among the biggest songs of their year. And then suddenly it’s the 2020s and all those seeds she planted have come to fruition. She kept her career going without playing the chart game and stuck with her art. She is finally finding footing on streaming and the public are using her again and I think her image is better than points of the 2010s. But no matter what, last decade was so integral to getting her to this point. A LEGEND. (sorry for the essay LMAO) Edited February 18 by Doogle 11
Stepfon Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Stop playing with the girls, Yonce, the fact that people always count this woman out and she comes back and smashes this hard…

All I know is that Pop, Pop AC, Country, Rhythmic, Urban and Urban AC are playing it. Even Triple AAA is playing it a bit. The last song with this much crossover on radio was Old Town Road I believe..

Not even to act "above it", because that's been me at some points too. Stan culture is so damn fascinating because of ish like that. In one regard, herd mentality is real ("everyone else likes ___, so it must be good") and then instances like Texas where a good track may simply take time to click...but when it does....it click-clicks in a huge way! I remember feeling like Single Ladies was a rehashed Get Me Bodied and that If I Were A Boy was the smasha. Lo and behold, it became one of my fave moments from her and defined viral before viral was a thing.

Only her second solo era, underperforming before Irreplaceable saved it. They were swearing she was over. Britney is bigger! Jessica Simpson comeback has more hype! Will she even reach her third album!
