Breathe On Moi Posted February 16 Posted February 16 man, I really did try to give it a chance but it’s not hitting for me. I’ll wait till the next one 1
Pheromosa Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Hey my sweet babies, I was restricted from posting for making a Joanne joke, for 48 hours...anyway! This #1 debut situation is too stressful
Chris Posted February 16 Posted February 16 She doesn't need to debut at #1. As long as she hits #1 and stays there for more than 3 weeks, she is fine. 1

Green Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Now she has the whole top 6 of US itunes: 1 = Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM 2 = Beyoncé - 16 CARRIAGES 3 NEW Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (Acapella) 4 = Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM 5 NEW Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (Instrumental) 6 NEW Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (Acapella)
Green Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'm shocked about 16 CARRIAGES staying the whole week at #2 If the spotify streams were better maybe it could have been top 20 at least 3
OBEY Posted February 16 Posted February 16 (edited) Im shocked at this being predicted to go #1? It got released late on sunday… but i’m glad if it does! Anyway i went to spotify (i use AM) and i was shocked to see that Bey has like 51M monthly listeners. Is it me or its not that much for an artist that has Bey’s magnitude? Anyway, she’s got a hits on her hands!!!!!! Edited February 16 by OBEY
Material Girl Posted February 16 Posted February 16 she's about to get a multi format radio smash and have country, urban, rhythmic, ac and pop radio all playing this even if it doesn't debut #1 i honestly think it'll get there 9
makeme Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Oh yes this is for sure going #1 during album release week or when it’s peaking on radio. Also image what a campy country mv could do for this
B3000 Posted February 16 Posted February 16 They are saying we only did about 6K sales. Number two debut is still groundbreaking.
Brikenbur Posted February 16 Posted February 16 The NMF placement is fine/expected(?) but the TTH placement…
Cbreezy Posted February 16 Posted February 16 2 minutes ago, Brikenbur said: The NMF placement is fine/expected(?) but the TTH placement… I really think they are pacing. Total conjecture on my part, but I think them (her team) jumping on the potential of a #1 this week was to get the (potential) #1 out of the way and establish huge success for the era from the get-go. IMO, playlisting is all kinda rooted in payola of sorts, so rather than go guns blazing now, they are working this as an "organic" hit ala Break My Soul. As others have said, I can see them putting more push behind the playlisting when radio is in full swing, meaning this will (theoretically) have a few windows to possibly go #1 heading into album release week and the actual week of. The mix of metrics (radio, streaming, sales will all help). It also helps that Texas is track #1 on the album. Meaning it'll get the I'm That Girl treatment aka charting high off the back of being the first track cued up upon playing the album. It's pretty smart. 1

Kristie Kuwa Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Slight dip in streams in the US, slight increase im global streams. Phew, Bey smashing with a country song is surreal 2
WeFoundWill Posted February 16 Posted February 16 notice how a BLACK WOMAN is releasing a country song and suddenly Its a global smash yet no one has ever heard of Morgans Wallet or whatever outside the US 1
Shelter Posted February 16 Posted February 16 She had a chance of going number 1 in the UK. Bey fans need to do what they did in the US and stream/buy.
