swissman Posted March 24 Posted March 24 QUESTION FOR CHART HIVE So ... TEXAS HOLD 'EM has been #1 I the UK longer than Crazy in Love. Does anyone know of other international (non-US) examples like this where the song is peaking and outdoing/outlasting some of her other biggest, more notable hits?
Blue Rose Posted March 24 Posted March 24 361 points Going back to #1 next week will be an uphill battle or just impossible #AbolishRappers 2

Per example I think Texas is her first solo #1 in Canada (second after Perfect) Maybe check beyoncepress on twitter. They usually highlight these types of achievements

(Only -4% compared to Arianas and Kanyes -11% and -16% respectively) Also, Future wont be able to sustain the streams, and he is irrelevant on radio. I wouldnt be surprised if Bey manages to get up to 280-290 points which should be enough for the #1 spot 2

SoundsandSongs Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Just for the fun, what do we think Texas will do on album release day on spotify? BMS went from 1.6m to 4.2m.

I wouldnt be surprised if Bey manages to get up to 280-290 points which should be enough for the #1 spot I am remaining optimistic as well. The pop radio updates and U.S. streams have been okay at best, but I'm hoping the chatter around the album will cause radios to get excited again and start spinning the song in heavy rotation. We have the Iheart radio awards on the 1st and I'm hoping that seals the deal. Bey is never in a rush to move on to the second single, so I can imagine a world where THE see's a resurgence in the begging of April and dominates the whole month until Taylor. If not, hey, we locked in a multi week #1 hot 100 hit, and it's still a very popular song. 1

We should see it dying down in the next couple of days. 1

I know i said it multiple times already (lol), but I truly believe that Jolene track has the potential to take off if its a great song. It'll get the most press right away simply because it's such an adored Country song - so if Bey manages to pull it off, shes going to be linked to Whitney and these type of news can go a LONG way 1
Space&Time Posted March 24 Posted March 24 7 million would be VERY cute! And can 3 of them millions be from the United States of Beyoncé. Thanks

Even with the album bomb Texas is still higher than all Future songs in UK, Australia, Germany, France and basically most major markets outside of US/Canada. 1
LegaMyth Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I'd actually like for 16 Carriages to re-peak in the Top 10, more than TH'E returning to #1. I'd like at least 12 weeks in the Top 10 for TH'E as well.

FSXP Posted March 24 Posted March 24 (edited) I actually feel like Texas Hold Em will experience what most country songs do on radio at least which is why they have such great longevity. Usually, audiences warm up to country songs over time. I think Beyoncé's name propelled it to very good heights initially. Also without the new drops, it's technically pacing for a better week on Spotify US so far than last week in terms of placements. It's looking good too that it's probably going to be within the top 10 songs for IFPI soon. I also wouldn't worry about Like That yet. We will need to see how it holds up throughout the week before we say #1 next week is impossible. Edited March 24 by FSXP
