I think that really was helping it move outside the Anglosphere. However, I also do agree that it’s already gained too much to be completely hurt. It’s basically already become a part of pop culture. For example, I guess, let’s hope IG reels start having some power cause it’s absolutely massive over there. Oh my God, how awful is that video? I cringed through my bones and I couldn't finish it. No way those people are actually laughing. But yeah, another exposure!!

Beyle Street Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Good jump. Yes, it's Friday but the autoplay regression was proven so far. It prob drops to 4.2M on Sunday, barring it stays relatively the same today.
family.guy123 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (Big) If she released a music, would it be allowed on TikTok?

jane Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Beyoncé will not ruin her art for Tik Tok play. She is in harmony with Saadiq right now with the music so tha's where she will stay. UMG, Tik Tok conflict or not. SHE is the superstar and her music is the movement so people will follow her and her music. She doesn't need the gimmick. 4 2
ReachInsideMe Posted March 2 Posted March 2 All this tiktok nonsense comes down to greed on UMG’s part but I think this stalemate is going to go on for quite sometime. They need tiktok more than tiktok needs them and they’re not going to budge. It will have an effect on Act II, unfortunately. Tiktok really gave Act I the boost and longevity that it experienced. 2

This is a decision taken without her input, I can assure you of that. 1

My point is that what is done is done. Do you really think Beyoncé doesn't support artists getting paid more for their art to be used on Tik Tok? Beyoncé who went to Tidal because artists were getting exploited by Spotify? C'mon now!

LegaMyth Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I'm wondering if the Tik Tok removal could actually be a good thing for her. It's possible people may run to streaming platforms to listen to it instead if scrolling through TT. 1

Do artists get paid for their art to be used on instagram? Not sure how this works. I always thought of Tiktok as a mutually beneficial thing for both artist and Tiktok. Artists get to promote their music on there and tiktok experiences increased user engagement as a result.

I’m sure there’s so many songs on the forthcoming album that would be perfect for tiktok that would have inevitably gone viral. I was watching a couple of women pitching a business on dragons den, and their profits increased tenfold in one year due to tiktok. It is a massive marketing tool, and anyone convincing themselves that it won’t have a negative impact on the commercial and cultural performance of Act II really haven’t thought it through. Knowing Beyonce's penchant for never making an entire album produced or co-written by one group of people (something people/Grammy voters have chastised her for), this TikTok situation may actually create TikTok focus tracks out of uptempo Act II album cuts with no UMG writers/producers (to fill the recent void "Texas Hold 'Em" has left) alongside real singles on every other platform. I'm intrigued.

FSXP Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I don’t think it will matter either way. A song that catches on with the public will catch on regardless. Tik Tok can get around it bc they have sped up versions, slowed down and you can add your own unofficial audio. (There’s already a TxHE sped up version gaining traction). A song will go viral regardless simply because for certain a-list music stars (Beyoncé, Taylor, Ariana, Harry, Justin Bieber etc) their names carry most of the promo. I am more concerned about the future for songwriters and producers. Artists was one thing. Songwriters and Producers are another. Would artists specifically stop working with UMG songwriters and producers bc they want something to go viral on Tik Tok? (Or the limitation cause their name is on it) That’s a possibility. 1
gisellecarter4 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Lets spread this version (speed up) on tiktok https://www.tiktok.com/music/Texas-Hold-Em-Sped-Up-7339421068781799425?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc
