It could be her second after Beautiful Liar Unfortunately Apache 207 released a single today and he will definitely hit #1 next week. Local releases that instantly shoot up the charts are always unpredictable. Benson is also above her on Spotify & AM, he went #1 on the official charts this week.
Human Fly Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Who would’ve thought beyonce’s solo country single would be one of her most global singles? She truly smashed it. And still no signs to slow down… 1
Shelter Posted March 1 Posted March 1 UK 2nd week at number 1 with 73,280 units. Higher than last week Sweden #2 Norway #5 9

I’m sure Bey fully considered that act II might be a significant commercial underperformance outside the US, so the fact that this song is smashing globally is I’m sure astounding to them as well as us. The US numbers are of the least concern. She doesn’t need to get another week at #1. People are going to listen to the album regardless. On the other hand, the global success and outreach of her country album entirely depends on the commercial performance of its lead single, and so far it’s doing amazing. I agree however my thing is why can’t they ever pivot? So they didn’t expect this success then why not capitalize off it? Build on it and make sure the album isn’t a commercial underperformance (ex flowers). 1

Adapt to the market, don’t stick to a plan that was established w/ Yvette in some meeting you had 2 years ago if things have changed The biggest and best brands do it. 2
