I’m sure Bey fully considered that act II might be a significant commercial underperformance outside the US, so the fact that this song is smashing globally is I’m sure astounding to them as well as us. The US numbers are of the least concern. She doesn’t need to get another week at #1. People are going to listen to the album regardless. On the other hand, the global success and outreach of her country album entirely depends on the commercial performance of its lead single, and so far it’s doing amazing. It will probably go back to #1 on album release week as well.
