Domination Posted March 13 Posted March 13 The fact that a Beyoncé album called “Cowboy Carter” will have a bigger hit than Renaissance ddddd 1
99sandthe2000s Posted March 13 Posted March 13 (edited) I didn't even know this but I went and looked it up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mrs._Carter_Show_World_Tour#Background Quote Following the announcement of the tour's title, Beyoncé was criticized by several critics and feminists alike for entitling it after her husband's name as she has been regarded as a feminist.[6] Questions were raised about how Beyoncé agreed to be known as a bride of another celebrity person.[8] During an interview with Vogue, Beyoncé described herself as a "modern-day feminist" and further spoke about her decision to reference her husband's name: "I feel like Mrs. Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I've ever been..... It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, 'OK, this is what you were born to do'. The purpose of my body became completely different."[9] Edited March 13 by 99sandthe2000s
campelo Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Be for real, to this point in time Carter is more her name than Jay-Z's 1

Everytime people find something to complain about there's a quote of her already addressing it in the past. 1

HANZ94 Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Not feeling the title for the album but then again her album names are not the best only Lemonade and Renaissance Snap
Relampago. Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I hate to beat a dead horse but the title is v ugly… However I’m sure the music will be slay so it doesn’t matter 1
ahauntingnearu Posted March 13 Posted March 13 Her album titles are literally always stupid, sans Renaissance. What's the big deal when you know the album will be a mega serve 2

99sandthe2000s Posted March 13 Posted March 13 the views and interactions with this fake tracklist I'll admit h-town hussy and star-spangled breasts would've been tracks I claimed
Bey'Knight Posted March 13 Posted March 13 So …. Can we get back to the music now or y'all still got more to get out of your systems? 2

Kiss It Better Posted March 13 Posted March 13 i mean i barely liked the title now, but it's better than the names yall suggested like Rodeo, Invisible Cowgirl 1
J-esper Posted March 13 Posted March 13 I am honestly glad she properly seems to give each act their own approach beside excisting in the same realm. Where Renaissance had BMS and the remixes with both BMS and later Cuff It getting a re-imagined version. With Queens and Wetter remixes. An approach that perfectly aligns with dance and house music and culture Cowboy Carter on the other hand got two songs released at the same time. 16 Carriages lyrically seems to pick up at themes she also shed Light on throughout the Renaissance movie to some extend. And Texas Hold Em which is commercial appealing and so far seems to be laying down foundation for the era. 4

This is so real, are people actually stupid enough to believe that any woman wins in the last name debate??? Because fyi every woman ever existed probably carried a man‘s last name because of that cute little societal system called patriarchy. Why is everybody sooo mad because of a title, it’s getting embarrassing Edited March 13 by lapisnour 1

It’s exciting to see what she’s doing differently this time round for the same overall project in the same era (streaming). We could’ve expected the exact same rollout etc but they’ve opted for something a little different which I like.
