I agree BEYINCÉ would be a "choice" but also I kinda love it, how it feels wrong and that's kind of the point...it's wrong but it's actually RIGHT. very much a clever reclaiming of a name in the way she's reclaiming genre too. However, COWBOY CARTER absolutely was the right decision. And though I haven't listened to ALL the changes between physical and digital versions, it does seem that she made the right decision there too, like the changes to songs that exist on both versions are clearly better in the streaming edition, which I love to see...love to see her editing prowess is correct. 1

Like he's famous in the country ? As he's not saying « I'm …. » like Dolly P is sayin in her interlude so I was like damn is his voice that recognizable for any American!? Edited April 5 by Negiiiii
TripToYourLove Posted April 5 Posted April 5 This is such an amazing piece of work. The Renaissance then CC back to back eras have really turned me into a stan 3

As he's not saying « I'm …. » like Dolly P is sayin in her interlude i'd say he's very recognizable within the country community and older listeners, but also maybe because his name was plastered over the song title? also, he was doing some sort of radio host-character, same with Linda, while dolly was simply being dolly

swissman Posted April 5 Posted April 5 the interludes get me SO hype though, each of them did their thing in different ways: Willie being unbothered and "cool"; Linda teaching us things; and Dolly being like a sincere neighbour...they really DID that. 3
