You're being super annoying because u flood every Cowboy Carter thread as if your life depended on it. You storm the base, the metacritic thread, now this thread. I have all 4 pressings of the vinyl records and two copies of the CD and it says act ii: Beyince. The hype sticker said act ii: Cowboy Carter.

its 2024, the stanning behavior has to go. When I voiced my grievances with CC, I was attacked instead of people just trying to have healthy music conversation.

Why is perfect : first of all because Bey put it out this way. Remember she's the author of the project. No but let's be serious : To listen to tracks here and there, yes it may sound too long. Or to a casual Bey listener. But CLEARY, by how the album is structured and with these interludes, it's obvious it's meant to be listened from start to finish. She wants people to live an experience with the album. Her album is not even about music, it's now about history. It's about how people were towards her and how  people will be about ANY PERSON who wants an artistic growth, who wants to discover a field one doesn't know…

 

the change of title doesn't mean anything tbh. It may be speculation, it may be true, but it doesn't change anything tbh… she just thought she had a better concept as well and once again, she only wants to put out the best so even if that meant « messiness » in production, she chose her « fav » concept and wanted to deliver what she thinks is best to people. Nothing complicated… 

 

the marking was off ? Absolutely not. Actually it was genius. The country hat is not here since she did country looks at the beginning of the year. The country hat has been since RENAISSANCE sis. The « basic » marketing that we like that is just about having sales / being on top of chart is CLEARLY the last thing she will care about. Why? Because her marketing is thought way BEYOND that. What she wants is IMPACT, LONG TERM IMPACT. See how it went with Renaissance, the concert, silver clothes… we're on the same path with CC. Cowboy hats will literally be everywhere. We think her marketing is **** because we want everything « now » and we want the « traditional » marketing strategy. Remember what award she got yesterday? About innovation? Well it's 100% accurate. She wants to innovate, she wants people to be surprised every single time.

I love a full album experience. But I feel like this isn't an album I could listen to in one sitting like I can with previous albums. What made albums like Renny and Lemonade perfect was that they weren't too short, but not too long and were executed perfectly in terms of transitions and how one song flows into the next. And felt like they took you on a journey. Not saying that CC doesn't, but i feel that CC doesn't flow as well as previous albums. I think I would have preferred if it were a 2 side/2 disc album instead of a 1 disc album. I felt like if it would have been executed that way, or shaved 3-4 songs off, then I would have rated it higher. 
 

I'm also not a fan how songs on the physical release are omitted, especially when you're paying your money for a full experience. And then the pressings having the wrong title at that. I am hoping an amended version of the physical copy is released to correct it.
