Sabandija Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Is the rest of her discography having a significant increase after CC release?
Virgos Groove Posted April 2 Posted April 2 How did you get used to the haunting? The willing, the missing, the wanting Dry eyes just send me across the divide Hangman, teach me how not to cry How not to cry, how not to cry This bridge is so ST/Lem-coded

satellites.™ Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Tyrant is just.... so good. I'm a Tyrant every time I ride it Not only is she saying, "When I come to town on my horse, be scared, I am here to cause trouble like a bandit." She's also saying, "When I ride that dick, I'm in control and I am in charge." Her mind. 1

Patient Zero Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I tried my best, but I can't get into this. It's the worst Bey album for me The songs that I will use: -16 Carriages -Daughter -Flamenco (this needed to be a full song WTF) -Ya Ya -II Hands II Heaven -Tyrant Cute but will be skipped soon: -II Most Wanted -Levi's Jeans -Texas Hold em The rest is boring and unusable. Renaissance is a 10/10, this is a 5/10 1 1 2
TYMPS Posted April 2 Posted April 2 This is my favorite Beyoncé album…which is wild because I didn't think Rennie could be so easily topped the lyrics and vocal performance are unmatched and the concept is brilliantly executed It's a feast of music and great for listeners with open minds and expansive music taste 3

You could've used Riiverdance to prove a point, but even that one is too repetetive and doesn't go anywhere either. This could've been her Archandroid, because at its highs it sounds like Janelle's masterpiece sometimes. Ya Ya sounds like Janelle. But outside of these nice moments, it ends up lacking soul and concept. Maybe act III will be a better match for me.

But "lacking soul and concept" is just bs talk with no merit. American Requiem alone has more soul and concept to it than entire albums, so please dont try to frame ur opinion with bold words that are just absolute nonsense in the context of Cowboy Carter 4 1
G.U.Y. Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) I listened to the album two times and found it really pleasant overall. There are some beautiful melodies throughout the songs. Pitchfork's score seems accurate. My favorites: - Blackbird (cover) - Bodyguard - II Most Wanted - Tyrant - Texas Hold 'Em Edited April 2 by G.U.Y. 1

Same goes with Rap Beyonce. To me it sounds forced. American Requeim and Spaghetti just won't click. Her only "rapping" I like is the one she does in Alien Superstar. And sorry for having an opinion. Beyonce is my favorite singer-she's very versatile. But that doesn't mean I like all of her styles.

I would go back to Riiverdance again and listen ALL THE WAY until Sweet Honey Buckin, it works when you take the full vision in as one long track. The Riiverdance leads you into the story of 2 Hands 2 Heaven and Tyrant. 1
Burn Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I think she did a good job with the sequencing of the album. Texas Hold 'Em and Bodyguard come in at the perfect time, after a heavy few songs at the top of the record. 1
