Shes not gonna stabilize at 40mio streams like that  like do u realize that up to CC, her daily streaming peak of an album was Renaissance on release day with 48 Mio streams. The fact shes still doing 40mio streams despite the Easter Holiday is amazing. Shes well on her way to generate 70% more streams with CC during release week than Renaissance.

Thank you for reminding us of this. we really need this perspective here.  it's one thing to look at the streams today from the lense of 76m on the first day. However, considering her uphill climb on streaming in the last three years, and then comparing this performance to RENAISSANCE, she's almost close to doubling its first week streams. Indeed, stabilizing around 35 - 40 m is pretty damn impressive.

Can't stop thinking about 2 Most Wanted and Jolene likely being UK top 10 hits. This is the same lady who couldn't push Hold Up to top 10 which was huge in 2016 because of her aversion to Spotify.

 

It's been a long uphill climb but this is really putting her new streaming power into perspective when she's doing what the likes of Taylor and Ariana do on a release week.

If they're gonna push that one I want them to do it properly but we're gonna be back to the same Renaissance frustrations most likely. Bodyguard and Levi could both smash in summer so I'd like them to focus on Miley rn cos I agree it could be a great trend for best friends

We've seen it with a million eras now, they won't move and will squander the potential of the singles.

Alligator Tears is such a funny song - every single time it starts it gives me major filler vibe, but sometime after the first chorus, I cant help but absolutely vibe to the song, and weirdly, I wanna go back to it.

My explanation: She put a whole lot of crack into it and made sure the amount is subtle but just enough to make u go back to it

I think part of the problem is the weird placement. Like spaghetti doesn't fit where it is, and kinda ruins that momentum IMO

It's so funny how people are running to the number of tracks. The tracks running anywhere to 20 seconds to 2 minutes are not meant to be actual songs that spend years on Spotify Global. And Bey isn't known to have one single do the heavy lifting. Bey has about 7 songs that are fighting to be actual singles and the GP seems to still be picking. 

 

She has a story to tell and will pick singles accordingly to serve stability and tell the story. She's clearly aware of this and is willing to play the game harder than Renaissance.
