BEYcred Posted March 31 Posted March 31 also I'm kii'ing so hard about how before the album came out we all thought daughter would be a sweet heartfelt ballad for her kids only to have it turn out to be a straight-up murder opera 1

Maybe that will be corrected later? maybe Dolly only allowed Beyoncé to record it/change the lyrics if only she remained the sole writer on the song it would be justified to have additional writers since the song has new lyrics but i'm kinda glad it doesn't because we all know the think pieces and the "Beyoncé stealing credits" conversations would begin again lol Edited March 31 by matheusbep 1
BnPac Posted March 31 Posted March 31 So Stevie Wonder probably really just played piano. I'm surprised Pharrell worked on BUCKIN'.

bye Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Just noticing the parallels between Pure Honey/Sweet Honey Buckin. - both contain Honey in the title - both second to last songs - both have a switch-up midway through the track 3

BnPac Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Just now, Jon Snow said: Pharrell has background vocals on both HONEY and BUCKIN' what song did Stevie Wonder play on? I don't know. Some critics mentioned contributions from Stevie Wonder. I thought it was a sample but since he doesn't appear in the credits, probably just playing.

Ughhhhh RIGHT wtf I think that whenever I listen to Memoirs, which is ALL THE TIME, and how it's one of my absolute faves from her. Half a year of recording and he brought out such a naturally fun side of her lyrically and musically. And full of classics I can't even imagine NOW....but she needs to get back in the studio first herself 1
