swtamira Posted March 31 Posted March 31 This album is so good. Every song is a different flavor and it goes so many different places. I feel like as a full body of work its even better than renaissance. Everytime i think she can't top her last album she does. Also this album kind of made me feel curious about country music's history and i really had 0 interest before this
Mariah4life Posted March 31 Posted March 31 This is by far Beyonce's finest work as an album. I love the little nuances and the storytelling on the interludes. There are just so many songs and I haven't been able to give all the songs their spotlight but right now I am tearing up to II Most Wanted after dissecting the song. 😭 I bet they wanted to name the song Shotgun Rider but they didn't want the gun reference 1
KOMH Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Here's to hoping I'll fall fast asleep Tonight And I'll just need to get through this Born in the darkness Who brings the light? And I just, I need to get through this Or just get used to it Such an underrated song so far. Seems very introspective and personal to her.

Post Malone Posted March 31 Posted March 31 The way Miley is so melodyned and edited vocally while Beyonce is serving untouched lively adlib vocals everywhere she really set her up

blaggot Posted March 31 Posted March 31 the lyrics to the intro/outro of tyrant oh wow the double entendre of the entire song actually 1
simon Posted March 31 Posted March 31 (edited) In the end of the "Desert Eagle" video (which comes after Oh Louisiana”) - the patron purchases his shots with a $2 Bill. Not only is the bill rare (an intentional choice since the Us stopped circulating the bill in 1966, but recirculated in 1976 in limited quantity - an ode to the era of the album), but the bill features Thomas Jefferson, the US president responsible for the Louisiana Purchase (which is known as the greatest real estate purchase of all time, which resulted in slaves being brought to the Louisiana state) The nuances in this era are just impeccable! pinkbowvintage Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Honestly YA YA is a pretty damn dark, subversive song. I love that's hidden behind the joyous musical homages and bop that it is. Genius. 2

qurl Posted March 31 Posted March 31 i can't move on from II MOST WANTED …… why did she have to career highlight like that ….. the vocals …. the lyrics ….. the VOCALS alone are/were enough to have me uncontrollably crying when i first heard it … then the lyrics ….. it reminds me of all my best friends sitting passenger seats while we were getting stoned on roadtrips …. a PROPER duet … Beyoncé really said Miley you are capable enough to handle this …. i will never not be emotional listening to this song, i can barely believe it's real 1
Gladiator Posted March 31 Posted March 31 https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/2024/03/30/beyonce-cowboy-carter-review/ What a dumb as hell take on the album.
