qurl Posted March 30 Posted March 30 need to be drunk on a boat with a beer in hand swaying to BODYGUARD ….. IMMEDIATELY !!!!
Bicassie Posted March 30 Posted March 30 so basically… BEYINCE had 16 songs and 5 interludes + 1 outro (Amen) then she added 4 new songs and another interlude
Kristie Kuwa Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) Jolene is probably the most epic cover of the 2020s so far. The more I listen to Beys version, the more I understand the greatness behind her rendition. Easily Top3 on the album Edited March 30 by Kristie Kuwa 1
butterflymimi Posted March 30 Posted March 30 finally got round listening in full and this album is insaneeeeeee!! enjoyed it much more than my first listen of rennie 2
ToxicKiss92 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 This is by far Bey's best album surpassed only by ACT III if the rock rumor is true her creativity is out of this world Most Wanted is such a beautiful song Her voice on Daughter The bops that TYRANT and YA YA are This deserves AOTY and I hope she gets it this time.
PaloSanto Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I found it so hard to believe the physicals are missing tracks but the videos playing the cds dont lie Something truly major mustve happened for her to change the title but also add the new tracks. It's messy af. But at least the album slaps i guess. That said I will have to burn a cd myself cause im not playing a YAYA-less cd on my car
Stellar1103 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I peeped the meaning of the title Spaghetti. Like Spaghetti Western = Italian take of Cowboy westerns. The Italian Aria at the end of Daughters before Spaghetti...how perfect!! This is definitely a little love letter to Italian people. She's a clever girl!!! 4

FSXP Posted March 30 Posted March 30 still increasing on AM. (Explicit and Clean versions are still separate) 2
Kristie Kuwa Posted March 30 Posted March 30 I said it once and imma say it again Picture the Grammys 2025: Beyonce opens the Grammys with Blackbird and is joined by Tanner and the others on stage. She says thank you to the women, changes the stage and starts singing American Requiem and feels her Prince fantasy. Before the last part of the song which sounds a bit like Amen, she goes into Ya Ya. Its her stepping into her Tina Turner essence. She lits the fire on stage, shes a Tornado, everybody on their feet. It feels like Woodstock. At the end of Ya ya, she ends her performance with AMEN. HERSTORY is made 4
holyground13 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 The album is a masterpiece. My expectations were extremely high and she delivered. My only small concern is the length - 78 minutes is very long for a record. It's great to get a boatload of content, but I also love how Beyoncé is very meticulous with how she tracklists her albums, so I always want to listen from top to bottom. 78 minutes is a lot. So, to combat that, in my mind I've arranged the album into act ii a (tracks 1-13) a act ii b (tracks 14-27) and that made it easier to follow. It's such a triumphant release and everyone involved should be so proud. American Requiem is easily one of the best songs I've ever heard - easily now in my top 10 Beyoncé songs. I also adore Bodyguard and how Fleetwood Mac / Kacey Musgraves it is and yet it is also really sexy and groovy. Ya Ya is bonkers and I need a live performance of it. It's got so much character. Sweet Honey Bunkin' is also all over the shop but it totally works, I love the transition from dance/hip hop to soulful and smooth and then back to dance. The rest of the album is wonderful and a treat for the ears. Even after four listens I still don't really know what to expect - queen of value Is it her best album? Maybe so. It's hard to compare it to her others yet because there's so much happening in each track that'll only truly unravel over time (again queen of quality and value).
