I know Rumí tired of her always using her learning apps on her iPad. That's the best you could come up with? You're lamer than dishwater Come harder bro. The morning show today opened with a big segment on the album, replayed the interview with Mathew Knowles, did a segment on a choir that went viral for performing Texas, spoke about the country music take over and cowboy hats with Bey playing. Finally, they interviewed Markus Klinko who spoke about how he photographed the iconic Dangerously in Love cover. That is a crazy amount of Bey content considering they were all seperate, lengthy segments. I'm in London currently and there was extensive coverage of Bey on the morning shows here as well. They interviewed an English country artist and had a choreographer live teaching the TH'E viral line dance. Basically attributed the explosion of country music to the UK scene to her success. Mentioned THE's 4 week residency atop the charts. Oh what a time to be alive It feels so so so so good. 3

I'm not from here so not overly familiar with the networks but i think one was on BBC 1 morning show. The male host is called Ben and his co-host is a shorthaired woman. The other, I think was on ITV. I wanna say the show is called Lorraine. I recognized Vanessa Feltz, though she was brought on after the Bey section. They had the longer segment with the line dancing. And they played THE in the background multiple times as a segue way. Both shows had guests on to discuss Bey/CC.

I think at the very least they'll accept Texas Hold Em and Blackbird to Country Solo+Song and Country Duo respectively. II Most Wanted seems to be getting the push so that seems like the no-brainer Pop Duo submission; IDK what they'll do if Levii's Jeans ends up eclipsing it, though. She should try sending Ya Ya to the Rock field. Something to Pop Solo. Something to R&B Perf+Song, something else to Roots Perf+Song. IDK about the album's placement. They may feel comfortable sending it to another genre because that process is anonymous, so the decision-makers won't face any personal backlash even though the Grammys as an institution would. I think it may be better off competing elsewhere; I struggle to imagine it winning Country Album if nominated. IDK where they'd send it, though. Pop Album? Contemporary Blues Album? Progressive R&B Album?
PrettyHurts Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 ok so top 5 after 5 listens: YA YA RIIVERDANCE PROTECTOR DAUGHTER SWEET HONEY BUCKIN

Doogle Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Anyone who puts Riiverdance in their top 5 deserves a smooch America Has A Problem has 24 hours to respond because it may have my "fave Bey song ever" title revoked 1
PrettyHurts Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Does this album and era remind anyone else of the mid-late career "mature" albums from pop legends like MJ's History, Ray of Light, American Life, Velvet Rope etc? The interludes, the experimentation, the touching on political themes. It just feels so iconic 2

KevinKDC Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Y'all I'm so proud of this woman! The way she just keeps growing artistically after that DIGITAL DROP AND STOPPING THE WORLD! I'm legit in awe of her talent and dedication to her craft. I've listened once to the album so far and here are my current notes: - The album hit way quicker than Renny did; maybe because Renny made me get used to the anti-structure of the common song (verse-pre-chorus-verse). - I've placed a star on almost every song! Excluding the interludes and all tracks below 3 min. I love to put stars on songs I like on first listen so that I can come back to it after the first listen of a new album. Protector, II Most Wanted and OH Louisiana didn't do anything for me on first listen. - I LOVE how the interludes and shorter tracks make the album just feels like an EVENT. It felt like I was listening to a 90 min music special on radio. - The production is just ******* insane! Clear Stand outs: American Requiem Bodyguard Jolene (GURLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way I never want or will suck a married dick again!) Not this ho giving us a lemonade version of Jolene LevII's Jeans YA YA RIIverdance Tyrant AMEN 1

Like if Rhythm Nation/Like A Prayer were to them what Lemonade is to Bey, this is her Velvet Rope/Ray of Light. Totally agree w you Edited March 30, 2024 by Doogle

It is the most somber and broodiest song on the album and provides such a distinct sonical environment against the other songs I love Beyoncé's lower register - it is equally as impressive as her upper 1

Cain Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Not that they are comparable but I love that I've gotten Future Nostalgia, Renaissance, Cowboy Carter and (soon) Radical Optimism from my mothers this decade quality pop ONLY
