Easymoney Posted March 29 Posted March 29 But wait, are THE and 16C streams counted to the partial? Cause in that case it should be more
ScorpiosGroove Posted March 29 Posted March 29 just listened in full… i don't remember many of the songs cause there's just so much going on, so many layers and sounds (and her first album listens are always such a hazy rush) but damn… she really gave me everything i wanted her to do again just like she did with ren what a phenomenal album, artist and evolution to witness 1
Eóghan Posted March 29 Posted March 29 they should send TYRANT to Urban/Rhythmic radios, it's goin straight to #1 on those format if she does. especially since those formats have been starved since Lemonade but you already know they won't 8

I've been waiting for them to work together again since B'Day! So exciting but I can't tell exactly what it is... maybe YA YA as it has such a big energy that he's known for, but still it doesn't sound like his style, at least his older style I'm more familiar with. It's Spaghetti. He posted it in his IG story. Not the biggest fan of the song, but a big fan of him and so glad he and Bey are working together again. Their earlier work is...chef's kiss! On a random but related note, I love how Bey has a clear dedication to evolving and bringing in new talent constantly while still throwing her tried and true collaborators a bone. The-Dream is a constant throughline and it's cool seeing her lock-in here and there with the Pharrell's and now Swizz's. Now, if she can get back in the studio with Darkchild (even if for one track), my 90/00s loving self will be over the moon. 2 1

I didn't know he was on that track until I heard the album a couple of times. His voice is so different on it. (Then it ended up being my favourite song ) There's really nobody like Beyoncé. I'm kinda amazed she actually pulled this off, going country 20+ years in feels like a career killer but she released a perfect album AND is smashing. It's unreal. Post should also mean good radio play right? Which means things are looking positive for long term success, when Texas and most wanted burn out. Then Jolene is also going viral.
Relampago. Posted March 29 Posted March 29 texas hold em bodyguard jolene spaghettii ya ya desert eagle riverdance tyrant buckin are the songs i enjoyed the most Tyrant is my favorite of all of them
Doogle Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Wait someone said they heard Janelle on Ameriican Requiem and you know what I hear Americans which is one of my fave songs ever
Rocket Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The start of Tyrant is so The Chicks coded, it's not even funny. I'm gonna need Bey to release a new version with that beat before the drop with The Chicks.

JoeAg Posted March 29 Posted March 29 the melisma in the chorus of Bodyguard reminds me a bit of the melisma in the verses of Control LOL I know that's a bit random but it's been sticking out to me! I always wanted that song to be released smh

Of that 90s/00s crew, I feel like the Pharrell's and Swizz's get (slightly) more props than he does, but more so because of their profiles (both have released music as lead acts and are more pop culture-facing). But Darkchild's credits...both with Bey and beyond are just...whew. Incredible! 1

Elusive Chanteuse Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Ameriican Requiem is one of her best songs. I'm just in awe. I'm still not a stan but she pulled me in with Rennaissance and now this album. 2
Chemist Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Decided Daughter is my ultimate fave of the album. I am truly sucker for that kind of music. Gorgeous masterpiece 1

I feel also the worlds he creates (with his co-writing partner, forgot the name now) are soooo good, like slices of a very specific but relatable moment.. Say My Name, It's Not Right but It's Okay, The Boy Is Mine... they're all not just simply love-issue songs they zoom into one very moment-based feeling that lets the entire issue be examined. 3

Gorgeous masterpiece Its the first song i replayed even though there are other instantaneous bops on the album like tyrant. Cinematic is really the only way to describe it. The godfather duology (don't claim the 3rd one) needs to be re-edited to include this masterpiece. I'll settle for an interpolation in Tarantino's final movie too.

Great Username Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Daughter is just the most incredible song, she really reached new heights with this. Sounds so expensive and dramatic. Edited March 29 by Great Username 3
