Pendulum Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Listened to it fully. Lemme recollect my thoughts. I've never paid much attention to Beyonce. Sure, whenever she releases an album, of course I would listen but I would probably not listen to it often. The only albums I've ~moderately~ liked are 4 and Renaissance. It took me over a year to warm up to Renaissance in order to fully appreciate it. But Cowboy Carter? GAGGED Might be my favourite Beyonce album and a possible AOTY contender. I like that it is not a typical country album. Not that I was expecting one. Also love the experimentation on some of the tracks. I liked: Ameriican Requiem (what an epic opening) Bodyguard Jolene (the original lyrics took me by surprise) Daughter (might be my fave track; the opera aria interpolation is amazing, reminded me of Sapphira Cristal's variety show from Drag Race) 16 Carriages (loved this one since it dropped x) Spaghettii Ya Ya Desert Eagle Riiverdance Tyrant Edited March 29 by Pendulum 4 1

The other girls (no shade) but as they've aged they've lost their touch. Hell, look at JT and he's a guy... popstars aren't dialed in anymore so they aren't in on what's current or cool but Bey somehow gets better and better and manages to stay current Its because she stopped chasing trends - shes creating artistic statements that aim to be of service to those who come after her. Thats what legacy is about. Shes a legend and just so admirable. Im really proud of her as a fan whos been there since 1997. Edited March 29 by Kristie Kuwa 3 1

Bodyguard and Leviis Jeans are also performing better than their placements on the album i think this checks out - i bet bodyguard, levii's jeans and (obviously) jolenes will make noise commercially 1

suburbannature Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Bodyguard so perfectly captures the 70s pop rock sound 1
Post Malone Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The way Levii's Jeans starts with a very short intro / no skit or any weird stuff that's all over many of the songs makes me feel like they have it lined up as a single
Negiiiii Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She said it's the best music she's ever made which also means she wants to tour for her best music right ? i am READY. however, Spaghettii live will be the end of me

This album cements her as powehouse versatile artist and vocalist that belongs with the greatest of the greatest. 2
