LegaMyth Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) I'm going to fail my exam. Why would she release such a magnificent album? Edited March 29 by LegaMyth 3
Jjang Posted March 29 Posted March 29 if there was any doubt until now whether she belongs with the all time greats… this album settles it. 2
Obsession Posted March 29 Posted March 29 It's good but it's kind of not touching her last two albums at all. It's also WAY too long 1

AMEN So lets assess: Jolene being the highest even tho its coming in the middle of the album -> genuine interest Same goes for 2 Most Wanted, tho this is the one pushed by Columbia. Bodyguard and Leviis Jeans are also performing better than their placements on the album 3

Virgos Groove Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I think it was a good choice to lead with the slower stuff first and then give us the unhinged bangers. If it were the other way around, the second half would be a slog (not because the songs aren't great, but because of the album length).

suburbannature Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I CANNOT get over the run of songs from Alligator Tears through II Most Wanted And II Hands II Heaven is truly a masterpiece. She captured the 70s bluesy rock/Americana sound SO naturally that it's insane. You can literally envision the bliss of a summer desert roadtrip while listening to this. 1 1
BourbonBrew Posted March 29 Posted March 29 so is it true about the vinyl missing several songs? i don't think it has arrived for anyone yet..

Where Renaissance is perfect for the Clubs and for pregaming, CC will slay on roadtrips and in front of the campfire

Dr. Alexander Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She tried to serve this excellence on Riverdance but couldn't quite get there The attempt was flattering though 1 1 5
imabadkid Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I'm not even a stan but Beyonce does not get credit for being the only pop star in recent memory that is able to CONSISTENTLY top herself. The other girls (no shade) but as they've aged they've lost their touch. Hell, look at JT and he's a guy... popstars aren't dialed in anymore so they aren't in on what's current or cool but Bey somehow gets better and better and manages to stay current 1
