Kern Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I think I'm not the same person anymore after hearing this album
Anthinos Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Tyrant is a bop! Love it. The album is good but I prefer Renaissance. My favorite tracks: Tyrant, Bodyguard, Daughter, SpaghetII, Alligator Tears, BUCKIIN'. 1
Death & Decay Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I'm not a huge Beyonce fan but I appreciate her & her hard work. I think the album has great lyrics, top notch production, etc...I just can't get into it. But I can tell she spent so much time putting the album together and other pop girls should be taking notes! I will say that I freaking love Texas Hold 'Em & Jolene. I'm so happy for all you Beyonce fans!

It is giving cos play for drama/scandal, whilst capitulating to the racist white nationalists who keep enforcing terrorism in america. You're crazy. Sorry! Was she capitulating in Daddy Lessons too? In On The Run too? How come in that "progressive" album you seem to like so much, MOST of the imaginary from Renaissance feature a gun? She is literally holding and testing a gun in Renaissance's teaser, that "progressive" album as you call it. Sorry but some of you try so hard. But if it's make you happy to believe what you're spewing, go ahead. Edited March 29 by BnPac 2
duadududt Posted March 29 Posted March 29 this album is a whole journey she started with traditional country then added her own sauce to it and even managed to create some real bops, I don't vibe with country music at all but she did that 1
Solaria Posted March 29 Posted March 29 She definitely wrote this one very early on in the writing process… the lyrical continuation of Daddy's Lessons. Genius. 2
Post Malone Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Tyrant just started playing and washed the entire 25 preceding tracks within 10 seconds 2 1
KingB® Posted March 29 Posted March 29 (edited) Daughter is so Disney coded. Idk how to describe it. Edited March 29 by KingB® 2 2
Nico Robin Posted March 29 Posted March 29 First listen rn currently on 2H2H and wow it doesnt feel that long at all. Its fun and diverse and goes by so effortlessly just a great album.
KOMH Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Woke up sobbing to II Hands II Heaven ugh this album is truly everything Is it too early to say this is her best album? Every single element is a treasure. When I finished the first listen I couldn't believe I was already through the entire album and it sounds so much better the second time around. Honestly way more instant than Renaissance for me.

I never pretended that she didnt do it before here and there. It is just that now it comes in full swing and it is ******* awful and dangerous. Specially after she went all progressive. It is giving cos play for drama/scandal, whilst capitulating to the racist white nationalists who keep enforcing terrorism in america. And yes, it is ******* boring as well as dangerous. See your problem is your confusing politics with the genius of the music. Just because you make country-leaning music doesn't mean you're pandering to racist white nationalism. You didn't gather any of the lyrics, features, or nuance at all. If you don't like the album, just say that. But your lack of critical thinking skills is really showing. 7
lapisnour Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I did have a kinda feeling that Renaissance was supposed to be released after CC, good to know I was right
thirdward Posted March 29 Posted March 29 this albums feels more like a follow up of lemonade than renaissance was just wish it wasn't that bloated tho it's a nice 7/10 album 6
KOMH Posted March 29 Posted March 29 The Telegraph: 5/5 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/what-to-listen-to/beyonc-cowboy-carter-review/ Independent: 5/5 https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/reviews/beyonce-cowboy-carter-album-country-review-b2520535.html The acclaim 8
Brooklyn Baby Posted March 29 Posted March 29 I'm loving this more than Renaissance on first listen, will have to give it more listens to fully decide though
visions Posted March 29 Posted March 29 There's too many songs deserving of being the next single I have a feeling Bodyguard will cannibalise any other choice though… But it would be weird to not focus on either the Post or Miley collabs too…
