QueenBLadyG Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Not LEMONADE being "childish" title for an album when the title comes from the saying and experience, "I was given lemons, so I made lemonade" 3

And tbh even if it were, she made it to the top with Beyoncé as name, some people still can't pronounce it right to this day. The debates over the title are so funny, we'll find out soon enough.
lapisnour Posted February 29 Posted February 29 so... renaissance was announced on this day, a month prior to its release, and with today being not only the last day of black history month but also a leap year, I thought she was gonna hit us with that cover and title but... nothing. Do you guys think it'll happen tomorrow or the upcoming week, or will it be a completely different roll-out altogether? At least we got the cr fashion cover i guess.

Also there was a whole running joke on Twitter about how ppl still can’t spell Renaissance
Draper. Posted February 29 Posted February 29 Reclamation, Reconstruction, Redemption, Recount or similar are just pretentious. Specially when framed in the context of music genres and race. She would be literally asking for the next Angelica to come and say she’s trying to be the privileged savior for black people when there are already black artists doing country. And this time, they would be right. 1 5

As the singer’s grandmother, Agnéz Deréon, was coming up, an innovative entrepreneur, also from Louisiana, was becoming a pivotal presence in Black history. Madam C.J. Walker is regarded as the first woman to become a millionaire by her own means. Her cause was righteous. In the aftermath of the Reconstruction era, and with the introduction of Jim Crow, Black Americans continued to be socially and economically trampled, leaving many without the tools to effectively care for their hair. her point is not that the genre is broken. the point is that it was taken from her community. it is reclaimed and not reconstructed

That said, historically, Bey’s not one for pretentious indie-fied album titles. Not to say they’re bereft of thought. “4” is her simplest title and only fans got the sentiment behind it. I even rmbr a reviewer dragging the title as unimaginative. If I had to throw my hat in favour of any suggestions thus far, i’ll say RODEO is most apt, not because i think RECONSTRUCTION is too syllabic or anything. I’m here for a meaningful left field surprising title though. 1
Bey'Knight Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Who says the title has to start with an “R” anyway? Bey never hinted that.
Hephaestus Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Not this thread falling to page 4, miss thing better announce title and/or album cover stat
