DR0GO Posted February 14 Posted February 14 There’s absolutely no way the album will be called Renaissance: Act 2.
perfectillusion204 Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Why do I feel like they are gonna push act ii harder than they pushed Renaissance. I feel like they knew Renaissance would make noise because it was her comeback. But maybe they weren’t sure about how country would do. I feel like we already have more promotion than we did for Renaissance nnn 2
mylicious Posted February 14 Posted February 14 So do you think I she comes to Europe again this year?

qurl Posted February 14 Posted February 14 also even if Europe does buy into this era the idea of her touring a COUNTRY album in europe just ….. i just don’t see it idk
NEX Posted February 14 Posted February 14 So if she's reclaiming 3 genres that were hijacked by white people - house act 1, county act 2 - then act 3 is most likely rock

Granted opinions on the potential titles are all relative, to me the likes of "Revolution" and "Enlightenment" just sound corny. And too literal. And too self-aware. And too declarative. It's almost like she and her team sitting in a meeting and saying "I want this to feel like a revolution" and then literally naming the album...Revolution. It kind of feels basic and the opposite of creative or well-thought-out. You've also got to think of how titles present in an editorial capacity. She sets herself up for a very easy read with hater reviews if she goes with anything too full on. E.g. "No Revolution to be found here." "Queen Bey fails in generating much hyped Revolution". I've literally watched reviewers sink albums almost because it's so easy for them to do so. So, IMO, something fun, simple, "cool", yet meaningful with its own backstory like Rodeo gets my vote. 4 2
Kalmanta Posted February 14 Posted February 14 I can’t wait for the Songwriting/Production credits. We got them 1 week before Renaissance’s release iirc.

RENAISSANCE works because it's easily understood, part of a phrase (a _____ renaissance), but also not something people use every day. It also sounds so beautiful. Say it and then say something like "Reinvention" or "Revolution" or even "Enlightenment" and they sound so clunky and heavy handed. Edited February 14 by swissman

That's what makes the most sense 2
