Mr. Peanutbutter Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Came here expecting some sort of pop with country elements slayage like Madonnas "Music" album but that's not what we got . She sounds good but I don't think I'll ever listen to these songs again 1
BlackoutZone Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Her ability to make just about any genre, any sound interesting and hers. Super perched for this 2
Stepfon Posted February 12 Posted February 12 When she uses Stand By Your Man on Act II and gags the girls a BIT, then, what?
Happylittlepunk Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I’m sure she will sound great but I fucken loath country music. This might be the first beyonce album I really would not give a **** about. I hoping it was just a pop album with country elements but nope! 2

Misguided Ghost Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I couldn't care less about country music, but Beyonce's artistry is second to none, so it's so exciting. Also, I got emotional listening to 16 Carriages, one of career highlights
professor2000 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Random Thought: I wonder if she told Taylor about her venturing into Country (or even let her listen to it)…since they seem to be so close nowadays.

I wish her all the success and I am sure it will have critical acclaim, but this one is not for me :/ 1
Doogle Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Honestly these songs are really growers, I already regret my initial disappointment with Texas. I didn’t expect to care about this sound at all and was expecting a more slayful country take or electro like Madonna, not such a literal country take but hey… based on Break My Soul did I ever expect to get Virgo’s Groove and AHAP? Nope, she stays surprising us with her album tracks. We know that’s where she shines. She could and likely will explore any sort of subgenre and do her take on country in a more experimental way. We never expected Alien Superstar or AUIYM from her. Plus the production is great and we’re getting vocals so this might resonate with a new audience who turned her off a long time ago.
Nashe Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The ultimate collapse that this was last night 2024 turning into the best year for music in AGES!! I'm living, shivering and literally tearing up rn cuz I love music so much. Life's so beautiful
beyonceparkwood Posted February 12 Posted February 12 The cinematography of that teaser... please give us those visuals, Bey.
ZeroPoint Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I’ve been playing 16 Carriages over and over again it’s so beautiful Unfortunately the other one sounds like Hoedown Throwdown from the Hannah Montana movie 1
OhMyAlf Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I'm still in shock we have 2 new tracks and an album next month following that amazing commercial
Uncatena Posted February 12 Posted February 12 i was a bit scared when i saw it was country but she managed to absolutely surprise me and i LOVE this. so joyful.
Starshine Posted February 12 Posted February 12 She never releases the best material first nor does she stick to a single genre. Mama is gonna give us experimental yee haw. 5
