CallumDavies Posted March 25 Posted March 25 B hasn't taken the decision to prioritise our experience of the album, rather than first week sales. Everyone needs to calm down. 1

We don't actually know how much the album has sold through her site yet because we don't know what was the original stock. We also are underestimating her global power. Even if she sold 140K, we have no idea how much of that was in the US

True, but I think, if anything, it's more slight discrepancies than being way off. The means of seeing the backend of her store was clocked literally the day it went live (within the hour), so the sums of available inventory were there to see from the get go. Reliable users here also confirmed that the available sums varied per region (but were consistent each time checked). I've actually been pretty cautious with the numbers I think she'll do and find the huge predictions some are making a..."choice", but in the event they are (for example) topping up the available sums of inventory (instead of allowing it to steadily decrease with each purchase), then she actually could have sold more than we think. I'm using the sums as more of a guide than anything definitive, so as to not be surprised if it comes in under, over, or on the mark.

We accurately tracked her vinyls last album, why would they be wrong this time?

I remember when the boxes had come out, we were unsure. My estimate rn is between 300K-400K.

Very true, I was a day late to the tracking or so, and some were saying 50k per vinyl which is very unlikely, at least for US/Canada only, and someone here was saying the 50k 30k 25k 20k, which I think is more believable. 2

Blue Rose Posted March 25 Posted March 25 What are your predictions for Pitchfork? I think they'll give her 8.5 because I doubt they'll rate it higher than Renaissance (9/10)

They do love maximalist productions especially when it's done right (old kanye, frank ocean, Beyoncé etc…) 2 minutes ago, Lose My Breath said: Pitchfork didn't care for Texas, so who knows I'm worried about the UK reviewers. They basically tanked Renaissance because they all rushed their reviews to be the first to post and gave her a bunch of 8s
Beyle Street Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I'm more interested in the YE lists cause that will set the base for what was inflated and what is actually adored. 1
