I think we're getting the tracklist tomorrow but there will be some crumbs throughout the week.

Tuesday we got the cover art (At 12PM EST) and Wednesday we got the Limited Edition cover (at 1:12PM EST)

Merch now available via Spotify.

Was coming to post this.

I'm officially confused lol, because Spotify selling the "limited edition" wasn't on my bingo card.

I "thought" anything external from her store would be the standard edition :-S

Starting to believe the speculation that maybe the 2nd cover may have been the original pick.

That or they really are using the limited edition schtick to circle back and push for more sales (from the same people) for the standard cover.

I still feel like it might end up being this weird scenario where more people have the physical limited edition than the standard.

Not to hound @Lose My Breath, but (pending her doing any social promo this week), would be interesting to see if this Spotify thing sees the units move more. As I suspect it's plugged into her Shopify store directly than being its own separate allocation.

I asked this question before and I don't know if it was answered.

Regarding the sale of the standard edition, is it a requirement that there be a product page prior to release ie. On the Target or Amazon website.

I guess not right, cause that would detract from the focus of shop.beyonce.com and the limited edition.

My question was is there any reason to believe the standard edition won't be available at retailers on Friday?

I was assuming the same thing.  I guess we may know soon lol

Just a note that the Spotify shop redirects to Beyoncé's official shop when buying, so it remains the exclusive seller as of now.

I think the preorders being a Shop Beyoncé exclusive is to prevent leaks from happening. I'm pretty convinced that from Friday onwards they will show up on all retailers' pages, as they will receive the stock AFTER the album is released, so they are not in the position to leak.

I kinda hate that the limited edition covers for both Renny and CC are not as good as the standard covers (to me), but the record collector in me can't NOT buy limited edition versions. :chick3:

So if that was the case, the retailers won't have the product to ship the first week, but perhaps the second week. That would mean standard edition not counting towards first week sales.

But if it worked out that way, it would give the second week a boost.

I believe beyonce's website for rn exclusively sells the vinyls etc. What you see on her spotify will only redirect you to her website.

Thank you!  I don't use Spotify, so that's helpful.

I also agree that it seems to be exclusive to her page until release.  She still doesn't even have the cover on Apple Music, which is strange

Yeah, the second week will probably even be equal to just below the first cause I DONT see a big opening.

I think my 232k is actually being generous.

Does anyone remember how long before its official release Rennie leaked? The day before or was it longer?

Tryna decide whether this "Bey store only thing" is something I can rock with or if they ought to have it locked, loaded, and ready to roll at all retailers?

Surely (in theory) she can milk this "my store only" thing right up until mid-week/Thursday and have the album ready to dispatch from all retailers from Friday. I mean, any kind of arrival first-week (Saturday through Thursday will still count towards its first-week numbers anyway, so who cares when it comes?).

I'm down with the "second-week bump" method of staggering the wide release, but IMO we live in the era of impulse and short attention spans. There are no guarantees a sizeable sum of people will be rushing for the standard cover second week.

Whet? How? 😂

I think Bey is going to do something in the next couple of days (Promo via tracklist, official Instagram post displaying Vinyls) that will help the pre- order sell.

If the 140K pre order is true, if Bey moves to shift the rest, I would say 200K physicals is a lock for first week.  Once you add digital sales, streams sea-tea, 400K seems not only doable but likely.

How does some "chart hive" not even know how sales and the charts work? lol Just random statements based on vibes and pure conjecture. I've noticed that all the knowledgeable "chart hive" are not posting their baseless takes every 3 business hours.

I think what will happen is standard CC will go on sale on day 1, and the retailers will inform the customer that it won't ship until Apri 5th. So the impulse purchase will still be there and the second week bump wld be a guarantee

I honestly think, from a leaking standpoint, it's the CDs that matter most. But I imagine the post-release dispatch approach will be for all formats. Again, I don't see why it can't just be dispatched on Saturday with delivery within the same tracking week. It'll all count the same.

I kinda commend the commitment to keeping ish tight and right; I just don't know if I commend it to the extent of sacrificing potential sales lol

At the same time, I'd like to think they have a well-oiled plan in place. I just hope it's not as basic as spreading out the sales between week 1 and week 2.

I don't know if I'm being dizzy and don't know how retail works lol, but why does it have to be second week. It's 2024 and when I think of platforms like Amazon and its Prime Delivery, ish can come on any day of the week.

So, what stops Amazon, Target, etc from receiving the album on Friday and selling it from their stores and fulfillment centers on that same day? Most services have super quick delivery.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe it takes longer to create the listing in their system and have everything locked, loaded, and ready to sell (process-wise) than a novice like me might think :-S

A lot of assumptions are being made right now.

We don't actually know how much the album has sold through her site yet because we don't know what was the original stock.

I am trying to remember how far in advance she revealed the Renaissance tracklist. Does anybody remember?
