It really is such a DELIGHT to have a pop megastar like her be so gloriously ambitious and dedicated with every fibre of her body to delivering a true musical experience with each release, often in wildly unpredictable ways (who could've predicted she would do a disco and country album within 1.5 years of each other a few years ago?). She truly LOVES music and it shines through in every song.

lol listening to Ya Ya again and Tina Turner would be SO PROUD. She put all her funky charisma all over this ode to the 60s!

Now, I need to hear a full cover of These Boots Are Made For Walkin' now lol.

A perfect follow-up to what I thought was her best album. This is going to be so fun to revisit. Bodyguard, Ya Ya, Riiverdance, Tyrant, II Hands II Heaven and Daughter are the ones that are standing out the most through two listens. I'm not getting any sleep tonight, am i?

lol me neither. I'm glad I don't have to be at work until 2 PM.

II Hands II Heaven is amazing. A career high.

the beat sounds like it should be on Kid A or a Four Tet album

Latin America deserves to be the first leg of a next tour just so they can properly give Ya Ya (live) its proper welcome

Daughter is so dramatic. It's giving murder ballad with a side of opera lol.

My top 5 after many many listens not including the singles of course lol

1. Tyrant

2. Sweet Honey buckiinn

3.  American Requiem

4. Just for Fun

5. Bodyguard

Those interludes add such layers of atmospheres and theatric to the listening experience!

It's a pleasure reading through this thread honestly. The praise, the criticism, the jokes, etc.

This is what this is all supposed to be about. Connecting and Sharing through music.

Thank You Bey!

Streets are saying the outro to Amen transitions into I'm That Girl when you queue them together on Spotify

That does make sense to me cause the acceleration at the end of Amen reminded me of like stepping into a time machine towards the future or something. :jonny:

The way this album would be perfect for a long drive through a mountain road - I need to take another Colorado trip or something, get out of the city and just experience these sounds out there in the world.

I wasn't ready for this at all and I don't know what to do with myself now

you can literally imagine an entire movie while listening

like the opera bridge almost mirroring a big climax in a play

she knew what she was doing
