Like come on show the girls how to flop with style queen! Let’s see! Shotgun Wedding was the #1 most streamed new original film on Prime Video in 2023. And The Mother was the #1 most streamed new original film on Netflix in 2023. She kind of dominates with movies on streaming, but this is kind of a different project, so let’s wait and see! Some interesting parts from the press conference: - Ben Affleck, David Meyers and Jennifer Lopez having a conversation about wanting to make the film and Ben having a sort of mentoring reaction saying they could not make something like this in this industry/get it off the ground. Which motivated her more to do exactly that. - Jennifer tried shopping the project before production started to various companies but no one wanted to do it. She then was like “**** it, I’ll self fund it” (paraphrase), shopped it around again and *then* sold it once it was made (word is Amazon then paid $50 Million for it). Aside from the film itself, Amazon will release a documentary called “The Greatest Love Story Never Told”, directed by Ben Affleck, which will showcase the makings of the film. Apple+ will release a live concert special of the whole This Is Me… Then record. She’s such a boss for getting it all off the ground and looping in multiple streaming giants for a variety of projects surrounding the album for marketing / cross-pollination and gaining back her investments as an independent artist. She’s a Hustler indeed! Edited February 10 by insomniac 25

It’s for streaming so not sure how to measure exact earnings for them. But they paid miss J.Lo for the film, so she has recouped her costs already.

The two songs she put out already are great and the best music she's released in a very long time. Very reminiscent of This Is Me... Then which is by far her best work to this day.

What the hell is your problem. Actually, I dragged her latest song This Is Me… Now and Can’t Get Enough isn’t my fave J.Lo song. But the production on both slaps. I am also one of those stans to drag her to hell and back (and people in our base too) if I don’t like something of hers. But can’t say I don’t admire the effort and coin she’s put behind this album. After 10 years, I finally get to experience a full J.Lo era with traditional rollout + epic movie and docs and whatnot. Let a gay live
