Cheers Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I mean… if overweight baggage can affect the plane surely overweight people can too. But are they going to charge people a fee for being overweight? 3
DawnAnti Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I guess the gyms will benefit from this or not who knows? 🤣
visions Posted February 8 Posted February 8 If it’s voluntary and let’s say 25% of people choose not to do it, how do they know if the weight limit has been exceeded or not? This seems dumb 3 1

LustSpell Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) Imagine being kicked off your flight because you're too fat Dear god the embarrassment. If that isn't a reality check I don't know what is! Edited February 8 by LustSpell
KFC Posted February 8 Posted February 8 If you read the article it says that the weighing is purely for data collection, the airline needs to update their records for average passenger weight Nobody is going to get thrown off a flight or charged extra for being big lol 3
shyboi Posted February 8 Posted February 8 watch us skinnies getting a seat upgrade or free mimosas during the flight 2
Vermillion Posted February 8 Posted February 8 This is already mandatory for multiple small craft flights to outlying islands on both the West and East Coasts in the United States. I’ve taken several in both the Northeast outside Martha’s Vineyard and Northwest outside of Seattle where this is mandatory. I’m kind of shocked people are just learning of this. And yes this should be mandatory for weight balance for smaller aircraft if it isn’t already. I don’t know about starting to institute this in larger aircraft but there’s no point in keeping this voluntary.
SlowGinFizzzz Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Good. Next step should be dynamic pricing based on body weight. 1 2
