SoldierofLove Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) Full episode: Segments: This episode is blowing up! I love me some Mo'Nique! Some may feel like this is all she talks about and that she needs to stop. After watching this episode, I fully support her continuing to speak her truth because her career was decimated by Oprah and Tyler. I'm glad that she got 3 hours to really get into the details. She also gives her two cents on The Color Purple cast and how they played Taraji by making her audition, even though she was "handpicked" for the role. She feels that Taraji is broken and hints that she was basically forced to play nice with Oprah. She also talks about how she's still trying to get money from The Parkers. Pay this woman! Damn! Just a Gay on ATRL Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Oh she's TAKING it! I love Mo'Nique interviews. Expose the powers that be! 1
Dr. Alexander Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Monique is a joke. She knows who to go to for an interview, because people like Shannon Sharpe will not push back or ask the right questions. I would love to see her in an interview with an entertainment lawyer or attorney. She won’t though because she doesn’t provide facts. She provides feelings and that’s why she’s sitting on a couch instead of on a set. She ruined her own career. Nasty behavior on set, refusing to promote films, asking for additional compensation for promotional work after production ended (which is unheard of in the industry) all while being on the brink of her universal crossover moment. Even after she was blackballed and Black creators gave her a chance, she spit in their face by being nasty to the crew members on set and still reused to promote. This is all documented when she leaked the emails between her and Will Packer. Then her continuous comparison to Melissa McCarthy, Amy Schumer, etc. Just STOP because if we are looking at the numbers from touring, box office, and television in the past decade, she doesn’t compare…at all. She had no factual evidence or legitimate business case to go to Netflix and ask for a substantial amount of extra money. She didn’t have the stats to prove her case and she cried discrimination and unfair pay (which is an actual issue with Black actors, but wasn’t her issue). Netflix ended up settling that case by giving her the same amount of money they offered her for the comedy special. So what did that prove? Nothing. I can’t wait until she moves on with her life and takes responsibility for her actions. 1 4 7
ICLDXU4HS Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Same energy as Nicki except with some class and decorum to it.
UnderratedVocalist Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Keep your foot down their necks Mo'Nique. I will always stand with her. Also, did y'all catch that lil nugget she threw at the end? 'X told me you drink that **** light, and you know he told me some other things with the drink that you like' And notice the guy's reaction following that. Look up John of God. 1 1 1

KingWitch Posted February 8 Posted February 8 She's been yapping about the same thing for years now, literally nothing new she hasn't said before, let it go already 2
imabadkid Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Shannon should be careful tbh I know that there are things he’d like to keep on the DL (allegedly) and I’m sure celebs know these things too if normal people have heard these things… powerful celebs aren’t gonna be mad at his guests they’re gonna start getting mad at him for giving them a platform.

Right, I've met Mo many times and like she said in this interview, she tears up when you notice her on the street, hugs on you, asks all about your life, and remembers you every time you meet. She is truly a sweetheart. And good grief I thought she was exaggerating about this Edited February 8 by IsidoraMarí
