This makes no sense whatsoever. The only thing I can think of is that she doesn’t want a second underperformance. You can’t underperform if you don’t release a 2nd single. 
 

Even tho it’s underperforming, it’s still a hit, at least in the UK/Europe.

'eternal sunshine' would've made bigger streaming numbers as a surprise release than it will do with this lackluster rollout.

I'm not worried tho, she's popular enough to pull it through. If the album delivers this could actually make it have a even bigger release impact.

I actually like it this way. I tend to overplay singles when they got released before the album and on the album listen I most likely skip those cause I have heard them too many times.
