vale9001 Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) The dj didn't casually ask for a cup of water from his bath, he made a joke about a scene in a movie . Some users act so pretentiously political about everything. His reaction is scarily homophobic. Tipically insecure man with a pure rage explosion when someone "force" an homosexual situation on him Edited February 5 by vale9001 1 3
Archetype Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Interviewers need to learn boundaries. The stupid bath water scene was only a minute or two and yet it’s all people want to talk about because it’s easier to reduce the film to a p**n than actually discuss the story. 4
GardenPanty Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) I’m sorry, but calling this sexual harassment is crossing a line. The bath water scene in Saltburn was one of the most talked about scenes in the movie. It was obviously just a joke. Had the interviewer asked this without the scene existing then yea that would be strange. But it was simply just a joke referencing his character / the movie ? Edited February 5 by GardenPanty 2 1
Relampago. Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Something has been off about him in my head since he said that comment about the Kissing Booth movie I don’t fall for all that babygirl bs act that’s been shoved down our throats the past few months. He’s sus in my books. If all the reporter did was make a joke around the movie, surely it’s inappropriate but that’s no reason to physically assault someone, please bffr. 3 1
Sugar-Rush Posted February 5 Posted February 5 He shouldn't have assaulted someone, but the situation he was put in sounds like sexual harassment. 2
Specter Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I mean this is neither here nor there but...isn't there a perfume being sold as his bathwater? Is that official or not? Because I feel like this little bathwater thing has been so deeply commodified that it's entered into this public sphere, just a joke territory... 1

Imagine someone asking Sharon Stone or Margot Robbie if they are currently wearing underwear because of Fatal Attraction and The Wolf of Wall Street. That would totally be warranted. they can refuse these scenes and they will 100% avoid any kind of jokes 2
glitch Posted February 5 Posted February 5 People in here seemingly don't know the difference between sexual harassment and sexual assault... Anyway the interviewer sounds annoying but based on what was described, a violent response wasn't really justified.
Twixters Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Everyone knows the bath water scene. He keeps also playing characters with questionable sexuality. It was clearly a joke. Wtf had his panties in a bunch.

The coworker isn’t in a movie with a bathwater scene lol it was tongue in cheek with the movie. Y’all making stuff too deep. 1 1 1

As someone who has personally worked in sex work, no it is not. He’s promoting a film, they made a joke about said film. 1 1 1
PoisonPill Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) The radio host Joshua Fox is a self proclaimed sex addict, so this behavior tracks tbh. This should be a lesson to other celebrity interviewers: don’t try to make yourself the main character, don’t try to go viral by making the person uncomfortable or provoking a negative reaction. Actors are working professionals just like anyone else and should be treated as such. Edited February 5 by PoisonPill 2 1 2

The character who did that was very evidently portrayed as psychologically disturbed throughout the film. Why is it that interviewers think it's "funny" to joke about wanting the real actor's bathwater when he was just playing a character? It's messed up. There is a line between respecting the person you are interviewing and potentially violating them, and this interviewer crossed that line with their corny ass joke. Edited February 5 by Archetype 2

Gui Blackout Posted February 5 Posted February 5 So many people here are missing a key point that this was NOT AN INTERVIEW. The guy just ran up on him out of nowhere in *hotel lobby* with his camera. 6

Physical violence is never right and in the case it seems very unwarranted . Physical violence sometimes is absolutely necessary. This just isn’t an example of it.
