The joke was risky but Jacob overdid it. It didn’t warrant him to put his hands on Joshua:

“I’m thinking, if I delete this footage, there’s no evidence this encounter happened. So then I refused to [delete it].

I’m surprised this wasn’t posted here earlier….regardless, had this happened here in the States as opposed to Australia I feel like it would’ve gotten a lot more attention.

 

They both were in the wrong but this will be buried shortly and/or forgotten. I don’t foresee too much bigger of a backlash, including legally, regardless of either deserving it.

No. It sounds as if Jacob can potentially sent back to Australia because the police are now involved. You don’t go around putting your hands on people unwarranted.

 

People are acting as if this joke or question was incredibly random. Everyone knows about the film and the infamous scene. He could’ve ignored him or kept walking. People dragged, and still are dragging Will Smith, but are supporting this.

Unwarranted? It was not unwarranted. It worked and the radio DJ cannot ask him sexual questions. You do realize this man isn't some piece of meat right? There is nothing wrong with this interaction and at the end of the day he's still a movie star. The radio djs behavior was corrected and he won't try to sexually harass anyone for a long time

Wait I just read the full story.... so this wasn't even a real interview, the guy just randomly came up to him in a hotel lobby with camera and asking him those questions??

 

Like that's literally harrassment. Jacob was absolutely in the right here

That weird little bit about saying how he could almost kiss him during that tense encounter of assault is a weird line. I’m willing to think there was more than just simply asking him. That’s not to say that people don't flip out when they shouldn’t. It’ll all come out in due time once the investigation is in full swing.
