They’re an indie-folk-rock type band, but they only formed within the last year or so. It’s valid that you hadn’t heard of them especially since they don’t have any success or marketing behind them, but they did have acclaim with critics and industry peers.

 

Phoebe has a nice voice, she makes moody music, some electronic lofi, some somber folk, etc. Punisher was her 2020 album and it placed high on a lot of year end lists, then in 2021 she also got a duet with Taylor Swift on Red (Taylor’s Version).

If Phoebe's masterpiece got snubbed but she got her revenge by teaming up with unknown friends, then I have hopes that Lana will win next year for her country album with Nikki Lane

I like her but she is starting to become overrated. The Boygenius album was truly nothing special
