This just shows how inflated streaming can be. Whether he has 1 billion streams or not, the fact is most of the gp would not be able to recognise any of his songs. That's not a hit. Nobody is saying he doesn't have a following, but the number of streams vs success of the song is not adding up. He's still a niche artist.
