But 5x Platinum is criminal. I would expect it to be close to Diamond :snowman:

This. Maybe it's eligible higher, but 5x Platinum after 10 years of charting is insane, album sales are in the pits :deadbanana2:

Honestly if you had told me BTD would be certified 5 x Platinum in 12 years i wouldn't believe it back in 2012. When you think about how it was first received, this is amazing. She never had huge sales weeks...just incredible stability. I can see it reaching Diamond in the next 15 years or 20 for sure.

This is amazing. Keep in mind, she initially wanted BTD to go Gold at some point so it's probably surreal even for her.

I expected at least 7x platinum given how it's a vinyl staple but maybe this is without the Paradise EP included.

Paradise tracks are counted but not the EP sales. Outside of US it was huge in 2013/12.

Teenage Dream without track downloads is barely at 5M units. Y'all forget that only one of her album tracks charted in HOT100.

People expecting more when its initial run was very lackluster. Remember the album had lukewarm reception, it gained acclaimed as time passed by so the fact that it keeps getting units is amazing and you know streaming helps you in the long run.
