Dear Reader Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) Quote No one in the music industry wielded more power over the past year than Taylor Swift, who made history at stadiums, movie theaters and on the Billboard charts, leaving even the most seasoned executives speechless. While they’d long celebrated her staggering popularity as a singer, songwriter and performer, her force as a strategic business leader suddenly came into sharper focus — and industry veterans took notes as they watched some of her bravest and most innovative business risks reap remarkable rewards. At 34, she is one of the music industry’s most charismatic and influential leaders — and she rewrites the rules. Quote "The best ideas are usually ones without industry precedent. The biggest crossroads moments of my career came down to sticking to my instincts when my ideas were looked at with skepticism" Quote "Every once in a while, you have to really trust your gut & take a flying leap. My rerecordings are my favorite example of this, & I’m extremely grateful to my team & fans for taking that leap with me because it absolutely changed my life" https://www.billboard.com/h/billboard-2024-power-100-list/ Edited January 31 by Dear Reader 2 1

It’s usually topped by industry executives.
Popular Post Feanor Posted January 31 Popular Post Posted January 31 This is so freaking major omg. The past two years Lucian Grainge was #1, who's literally the CEO of UMG. For her to be named #1 after the historic year she's had is just… beyond words. Forbes' most powerful woman in entertainment, TIME's Person of the Year and now Billboard's most powerful executive in music… Taylor's 2023 will go down in the history books. 23 1

dussel_06 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 A legend like no other No one is doing or will do it like her. 1
Cruel Summer Posted January 31 Posted January 31 The literal, actual, completely unprecedented POWER that that has People who minimize her position in the industry, her impact and influence - they literally just don’t get it.
Burner Account Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I like her and her power and influence, very inspirational and driven. There is a whole village behind her image and persona, though. But business has always been a machine and not a lonely endeavour, so can you blame her?
Trainwreck Posted January 31 Posted January 31 But where are the vibes and the 1989 different wigs? She has no impact!! 2
305 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 And this is why she is so incredibly special and successful. She understands what it takes to get to where she’s at, she understands what she means to the world and to her fans and never takes it for granted. This is why she’s never canceled a show, always gives the fans what they want, ensures that they feel special and taken care of and NOTICED. 3
Fama Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Quote Taylor Swift doesn’t refer to herself publicly as an executive, but she designed and executed one of the most ambitious, innovative and successful business plans the music industry has ever seen. Sure, she has a team behind her — a killer one at that. By all accounts, though, she makes the bets and calls the shots — so there’s no one else we can credit for her brilliant chess moves. https://www.billboard.com/h/billboard-2024-power-100-list/ 2

Cruel Summer Posted January 31 Posted January 31 I really love how this time around, unlike back when she first peaked in the 1989 era, she’s really being taken seriously. She’s forced the industry, popular culture at large, and listeners around the world to recognize that she’s a totally unique force. It’s nice to see her finally get the flowers that the fans knew she deserved a decade ago. 11
