Kintsugi Posted February 28 Posted February 28 if you didn't enjoy this song you won't enjoy the rest of the album, because while she's been teasing this as some eDgY album for the rave gays it actually couldn't be further from that near every song is 2 minutes, and compared to the raw indie inspired visuals the production actually sounds 10 times more minimalistic, polished and radio pandering than CRASH don't go into it expecting heavy club bangers because you'll be very disappointed when the album comes out and your faves from the snippets she's been previewing actually sound like 2013 pitch demos and needless to say, lyrically, the themes don't go beyond her delusions of grandeur / inflated ego and her one sided beefs with fellow pop girls- but I can't believe that anyone would expect depth from a Charli XCX song to begin with 1 1 1
Saint James Posted February 28 Posted February 28 such a touching melody in this one, i can tell she was inspired by Mozart 1 1

Like that is literally the epitome of Charli XCX. Her going full on shallow grandeurness is fine, but at least make the melodies/details shine. She’s good at making songs seem effortless, but if the album is just 2 minute minimal one-hook flashes…..she better make sure those melodies/hooks ******* B O P! Von Dutch works but barely. And it’s not exactly radio-friendly either. So what is the goal here. Edited February 28 by 4Walls
troubledparadise Posted February 28 Posted February 28 she said spring breakers isn't on the album but she also said she's in her lying era so she's prob lying and it's an album track so what's tea.....
XtinaStripped Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I'm so sick of her ego. It's been slowly ruining her music since Pop2.
troubledparadise Posted February 28 Posted February 28 whether this is a stand alone / or a track from the album it's not the best but what do we expect? it's charli come on guys it's a cute lil bop for the summertime

I think once it’s released it will be better appreciated when are we getting the announcement? and is the album 20 minutes long as expected and gonna take 10 months to get released while being announced 10 months in advance?
BeachRat Posted February 28 Posted February 28 it's a ******* slay tho and you have to deal. it's giving bling ring (2013) club scene. it's giving something lindsay paris and nicole would bop in the simple life premiere afterparty. the girlies who get it ...get it. 3

I’m so sick of it. Charli could kill an entire album full of 4/5 minute epics. Why is she giving us more generic ****?
Blue Jeans Posted February 28 Posted February 28 I haven’t listened but the polarizing comments here are giving Padam Padam release. Then we know what happened
jóga Posted February 28 Posted February 28 thinkpiece incoming Spoiler I played the song and tried pretending like I had never heard the song or any snippets before. Like I was at a Charli listening party and hearing something brand new. And I really really liked the song experience. the electronic wining going up and down and the repeating hook made me feel like I was spinning in circles in a dance club, getting dizzy and drunk but having the time of my life. It got me thinking about what 360 brat even means, and I think all the songs on the album are meant to make you feel like this. Spinning. so I can see how it might get taken as basic club tracks upon release. After all, Charli did resign with her label for this album. so I’m not expecting avant garde hyperpop brilliance, but I know Charli has taste when it comes to it. I have faith it will be good in some regard. even if we get a fun album that decently pops off like Crash, I’m okay with it. personally, I LIVED for the DJ set at Boiler Room. I know not to expect that upon release. But I wish she would go full experimental bratty rave. anyway kinda living for this “perfect- exceeder” sound, so if the album really is 12 minimalist 2 minute versions of that, I’ll still stream and call her queen

But we'll see
