single Charli XCX - "Von dutch"

I haven't played the snippet since the first time she posted it and y'all could've done the same I don't see what's the big issue here

i’m convinced the album is dropping this week or next… she’s not been promoting the single she’s been promoting the ALBUM

 

also if the album is gossipy/bitchy/full of tea - it makes sense to drop it all at once and deal with the repercussions when it’s all out in the world and not having to deal with it in the lead up

She's been doing tons of Tiktoks with the single audio  ofc she's not gonna get a magazine cover to talk about just one song. 

 

 

She put out 5 songs from Crash before the album release. HIFN had 3 despite the fact that the album was made in like a month. Self titled had like 6 songs out before the release. I doubt she would change the way she does things for this era, plus, we know she's releasing an Addison Rae remix for Von Dutch, so I doubt the album would come before April.

my statement wasn’t factual… yeah of course she’s promoting the single, she’s doing it in a very annoying way! 

 

the way she’s doing promo for this album is so different from how she’s done it before. she’s doing more promo spots for the album on a larger scale when you consider the boiler room, listening party, and this magazine. no word on the single release, album release, or even album title. yeah she released songs for her last album ~ before the album ~ but those albums were extremely differently and made under extremely different circumstances lol. she never teased a whole album before release except through singles … 

 

and basically saying “why would she change things around” is such a dumb statement when talking about Charli when she LOVESSS to do the opposite of what people expect from her and i think surprise/suddenly dropping something (as an artist who is infamously known for leaks) is probably a very satisfying idea for her, especially when you contrast it with the MPG release strategy of CRASH

I really don’t understand these overlong rollouts  From what I understand with CRASH, she decided to just follow whatever the label told her as far as promotion and types of songs they thought would do well, right? I always blamed the label for Good Ones coming out in September and her announcing the album nearly 6 months in advance. If she re-signed with her label and attributed CRASH’s success to the way they handled it, is it going to be that same situation again with this new album?

Hope it’s more to the song than that snippet.  Either way it sounds like something you get sick of after 10 plays so this is 1st time in years that I’m not excited for Charli’s single.
