Lenny Kravitz is set to receive the People's Music Icon award at the 2024 People's Choice Awards on Feb. 18 in a live ceremony on NBC, Peacock and E!.

The musician and actor will also perform a multi-song arrangement of his legendary music catalog.

The Grammy winner is being honored for his impact on the rock genre. Kravitz — known for his hits “American Woman,” “Fly Away” and “Are You Gonna Go My Way” — has created a distinct sound of mixing soul, rock and funk.

The multi-hyphenate has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide over the course of 30 years. Throughout his illustrious career, he won four consecutive Grammy Awards for best male rock vocal performance for “Fly Away,” “American Woman,” “Again” and “Dig In,” in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, respectively.

He’s also received awards from the American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Radio Music Awards and the Brit Awards.

“With 11 studio albums across a decades-long career, Lenny Kravitz has cemented himself as a global rock superstar,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, NBCUniversal Entertainment. Kravitz joins the likes of the previous two winners Christina Aguilera and Shania Twain.
